The Rose Veranda at Shangri-La Singapore

Rose veranda was no doubt my first choice for the 1st Hi-tea for year 2020. Fresh salmon and tuna sashimi, good spread of hot cooked food and the Nyonya seafood stew was extremely delicious. The wide selection of desserts is what makes Rose veranda my all time favourite hi tea place. Today’s visit was made even special with impeccable services from all the staff. Sous Chef Ganesan was so attentive, humorous and even made us one of his favourite dish - baked salmon with truffle mashed potatoes. The dish is delish. Am already looking forward to my next visit, soon 😊

Always a most pleasurable experience of the highest standard at Rose Veranda! Excellent hightea spread n beyond-attentive service. The chef even comes out to mingle n get feedback from diners. Compliments to Sous Chef Ganesan for personally attending to our very specific requests n preferences - your laksa n specially prepared fish in tomato salsa were so delectable, they left me craving for more even when I thought I've already had too much food. Can't wait to be back for more!

Great variety of food for tea. Dessert spread was even greater with high quality cakes and chocolate. Excellent service from staff.Was here with mum to celebrate her birthday. She enjoyed the ambience,food and want to come back again. Complimentary birthday cake was a generous size.

Klook price is cheaper than paying full price at the hotel, hence quite a good deal to buy on Klook. However, the food offering wasn’t as great, especially the savoury food which left much to be desired. Service was very polite and attentive. Personally prefer the afternoon tea at another hotel which serves better quality savoury food as well as sweets.

Easy fuss free did not even need to scan anything, just mentioned my name and it was settled. Staffs were friendly and helpful

We were there for the festive high-tea buffet on the Christmas weekend but were utterly disappointed by its offerings as advertised- there was supposed to be festive Beef Toma-hawk, Fresh Seafood on Ice and log cakes but we didn't find any. I mean as a regular buffet, that'd be fine but if you're charging extra for the festive buffet, customers would expect to see those instead of being disappointed. The venue, however, is still a cosy and nice spot, as usual. Perfect for gatherings. It is also nice that you can choose between having (different) coffees and one tea choice during the session, which i believe a lot of other hi-tea spots do not offer. We've always picked Rose Veranda for our birthday/Christmas celebrations for the last few years but unfortunately this time the food offerings and quality hasn't met the standards of previous years. It was also nice in the last years when the crew of the lounge would take a polaroid photo for your birthday, but they seemed to have stopped doing that. It would be nice to bring that back again, does make for a good memorabilia. However they are nice to sing you a birthday song and offer you a complimentary cake for birthday celebrations. That is a nice gesture from them. This is perhaps directed at the hotel but we were expecting more festive deco as part of the experience but they were all gone even though it was before NYE. We were actually looking forward to some photo-taking opportunities since it's only been few days after the 25th(Christmas is 12 days after all), not sure why the hotel has removed all the deco so quickly- thus it wasn't festive at all.

 We found the services provided by the staff excellent and the food selection and quality good.

Great atmosphere, quality and selection of food. Very peaceful setting.

Best high tea buffet ever!! Great selection and service will be back!
