Beach horseback riding is fairly easy, so participants are not required to have any riding experience however mountain horseback riding is relatively difficult so you must have previous riding experience or be ready to take on the challenge!
Tread the landmark Morne Brabant mountain on horseback and grace the monolithic peaks with renewed appreciation. Known as the refuge to runaway slaves in the 18th to early 19th centuries, Le Morne remains a powerful symbol of slave rights and freedom, suffering and sacrifice. Coupled with majestic sea views all around, including Benitier's Island to the north and Forneau Island to the south, you're sure to find yourself breathless with awe. You'll also get to dip in the cool waters of the beaches with your own mare, a beautiful, retired racehorse.
Indego Club visited here in November 2014. I was impressed with this professional establishment where the horses appear happy and well cared for. The experience was perfect. Our lead host quickly ascertained our level of riding and tailored the ride accordingly. We had a lovely few canters along the beach and the guides were also very helpful and skilled in taking photos for us! Would most certainly recommend.
Beautiful views Along the beach! Riding in water spectacular! Horses were fab and man that came with me very courteous- he made the experience a very memorable one!
Just back from a super ride along the beach from Les Haras du Morne. We're regular riders on holiday and in the UK and Europe this facility did not disappoint - a good number of well cared for and good sized horses here housed in stables with fans. Excellent sized ménage and swift access through the woods to the beach where we rode for a good 45 minutes along the shore looking into the turquoise waters. Horses seemed chilled and forward going and responsive to neck reining and leg aids. Tack was in good shape too. Opportunities to trot and canter if you wanted it. Staff friendly and competent -a welcome soft drink awaited us on our return. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend.
