Whitewater Rafting, Trekking and ATV tours in Chiang Mai by 8Adventures

What a fantastic experience! This was my first time in Thailand, and I was impressed by how seriously they take safety for outdoor activities; the safety training was very thorough. The instructors constantly checked everyone's understanding. Rafting here is different from in China; it's more of a sport. You're not just sitting there enjoying the ride, but rather following the instructor's commands, with everyone on the team working together to navigate through each rapid turn. There were two safety guides leading the way, an instructor on every raft, and many staff members taking photos, which made for excellent service. Regarding the pickup, since my phone number couldn't be dialed, it was entirely thanks to our mutual understanding 😂 The driver showed up right on time at my accommodation, which I truly appreciate!

The pick up was smooth. Picked up at 8am and back home at 3:30 pm. We upgraded to the 10km white water trip - highly recommend. Photos were 500 tbh extra but we got about 50 of them. Lunch was really good. Highly recommend for family trip.

This is our highlight of our first Chiang Mai trip and it is a 100/10! Everything from confirmation text, enquiry, pickup, safety briefing, lunch (the soup is so good), hot showering facilities (with shampoo etc), the actual atv and rafting procedure were well planned and executed! The photographers took excellent photos, worth the money to buy the photos! All the 8adventures staff at Chiang Mai were welcoming, knowledgeable and helpful! A big shout out to one of ATV instructors (in the photo) who gave us bonus lesson on Elephants. We can see how much he loves elephants and we were thankful he shared so much interesting facts and real stories of rescued elephants with us. We will definitely recommend 8adventures to our families and friends. Thank you so much for making our trip a super fun and most importantly safe day at 8adventures! :D

I have tried rafting in some other places, I would say this trip was really outstanding. First, one of the participants in our group was sick, and they were really kind to arrange postponing our trip for one day. Secondly, I think the safety precautions were really of high standard. We have three kids in our group (aged 11,10 and 8), but as parents, I felt very safe as the coaches were professional! You also see the safety team all the time way The highlight was the facilities, even the camp is located in a rather remote area, the facilities were of high standards, we could even have hot shower after the rafting (even it's August, you could feel quite cold after getting all wet) On top of that, they took professional photos for us, you could purchase the photos with 500 baht per group, and you don't really feel the pressure to buy. Overall, I would say it's a great experience! I would highly recommend it to adventurous people! I would surely come back next time and try to ATV too!!

we decided to make our own way there by bike! bad mistake. it's very cold in the Chiang Mai mornings so I got there already freezing cold but that was my error. the staff were very friendly and full of positive energy. they explained the health and safety aspects to everyone and we set off. the place was beautiful. rapids were fun and exhilarating. their camera man took some epic photos and we decided to purchase them at the end of the tour for 500 bhat. they offered us good food, tea and coffee and hot showers with clean towels. overall an amazing experience but my only advice is take a taxi .... don't drive there yourself !

Good, good, good! The staff are very professional and patient, which puts you at ease! Even non-swimmers can participate in rafting 🛶. There's a coach on board and staff in single kayaks in front and behind! There are staff on the shore in dangerous areas! A must-try! The lunch is really delicious 😋.

wonderful rafting experience! the water level is low in this season so it feels quite safe when doing this activity! the company staff helped us to take wonderful pictures!

It is worth recommending👍The safety is very high👍The ATV event sent 5 coaches to outflank the front, middle and back. Rafting also has 10 coaches who are responsible for different positions on the mountain and in the water to take care of me 👍 Come again next time

The experience with the 8adventures guides and safety team was great. They were very safety focused and helped to make my first white water rafting experience unforgettable! The food was great and hot water shower after the rafting was blissful. Highly recommend!

Smooth and seamless experience from pick up to drop off. The operator gave all of us instructions and conducted safety drills to make sure participants are crystal clear on the appropriate movements and actions to take in each situation. They also took special care and provided good medical attention to my friend who suffered minor injuries after falling over into the river. The lunch provided was pretty decent as well!
