Discover the thrills of biking on the Gangchon rail road - a popular spot appearing in many Korean variety shows including 'Running Man' and 'We Got Married'
The Gangchon Rail Bike is a popular activity on Nami Island, allowing visitors to pedal along the old Gangchon Rail Park track while taking in the scenery of the lovely 318km Bukhangang River. You will be able to experience a piece of history when you travel the same route the Mugunghwa train traveled for a span of 70 years! The Gimyujeong Station course is approximately 8.5km long with the first section (6km) lasting around 50 minutes. After riding the first 6km you will arrive at a transfer station where you will be able to take a bathroom break or pick up a snack from the cafeteria. From there continue on a 20 minute romantic train ride so you are not required peddle! Once you arrive at the Gangchon Station make sure to grab the free shuttle back to where you started.

How To Get There:
Very good activity for friends and family despite the tiredness from the cycling. The cycling process was only 20 mins and we were taken to the destination with a 'romantic' train ride after resting for about 10 mins. The weather was also good despite having snowed in the morning.
We were late for 2 hours getting there but still can get the ticket. Better to make reservation as you can ensure you get a bike.
We had only two people but we had to ride a 4-person bike because the 2-seat bikes were fully booked. It was extremely tired especially the 4-person bike behind you screamed and asked you to ride quickly, it was not a pleasant experience.... but I admit the view is quite good. There were a lot of mosquitoes/insects along the ride that you will find them all over your face and clothes after the ride.
Unfortunately, we skip this one as we lost and got to Gapyeong Railbike instead. It turns out that it is kinda far away from Nami island, that's why we confused it with the Gapyeong Railbike. T_T
The location is quite far but worth the visit. The ride itself is fun and exciting cause one gets to see beautiful sceneries along the way plus passing by different awesome and cool tunnels. Will definitely visit this place again given another opportunity.
