The castle is located at hilltop so have to prepare to climb up and down, but the castle itself and the views at top are definitely worth it. It is easy to entry with Klook voucher too.

Same with my Pena Palace review- the discount is negligible so can just buy the ticket on any online site. This is a good morning exercise! Lots of step climbing and only recommended if you don’t have a fear of heights.

Enchanted castle with great views of Sintra, gave us insight into the medieval era creations of the moors. Some very shallow and narrow walls while walking up to the towers, not for the faint hearted.

The castle is a great place to climb. There are several view points to take pictures. On the top of Mourish castle, you can see different castles and famous views in Sintra.You may feel tired with legs. However, to conquer the castle is like winning a challenge of life. Recommend it.

After being conquered by Christian forces in 1147 during the fall of Lisbon, the castle was later abandoned.
