This isn't your average group tour - the route is designed to aide your Japan sightseeing by taking you to some hard to reach locations, away from large tourist numbers. It's not a package tour - when you arrive at each location, you're given free time to explore by foot on your own. You'll visit the two World Heritage Sites of Shirakawago and Ainokura villages, which remain as beautiful examples of local folk culture. Dine on local cuisine for lunch overlooking the iconic steeped-roofs of Shirakawago's farmhouses and get clued up on local history with free time at the Gasshozukuri Minkaen Outdoor Museum.

The tour was verg organized. Our English guide was very nice, and taught us a lot of things. The lunch was also good. After the tour, they offered us hot tea and light snacks on the bus. :)

We were not able to join the trip. All the while we thought that Takayama is very near Nagoya. We are staying inTokyo and inorder for us to join the trip , we travel a day before to Nagoya and booked a hotel. When we inquire how to go to Takayama , we were advice that it will took us 2.5 hrs gettig there by bus and the eatliest bus departure is 7:30am. Since we have JRpass we inquire about the train schedule and we got the same reply... its impossible for us to get there in Takayama by 8:30am... I emailed klook but to my dismay I still got no answer.

Friendly and helpful tour guide, though her English has much Japanese accent. She has provided rich background information of each site with interactive tools like pictures and samples. She also gave some useful tips for each spot. The lunch set quality is fair, don't expect too much.

Not good if coming from nagoya. Read before booking especially the meetng place. You should be staying in takayama, which is more than 2 hrs of train ride. Booked the tour but did not avail. ☹
