What to expect
The Discover Scuba Diving experience at the Submerged Archaeological Park of Baia is a beginner-friendly introduction to scuba diving in a unique historic setting. You’ll start with a brief theory session and basic safety briefing under the supervision of a PADI professional, then get familiar with your gear before entering the water. No prior diving certification is needed, and participants must be at least 10 years old. The highlight is a guided shallow dive among the ancient Roman ruins—mosaics, statues, and structures now preserved underwater due to volcanic bradyseism—where you’ll learn what it feels like to breathe and move underwater. Throughout the dive, your instructor stays close to support you and ensure a safe, memorable first dive experience
