What to expect
Sanxing Township, Yilan County, is located on the western side of the Lanyang Plain, at the point where the Lanyang Plain meets the Xueshan Mountain Range. It is also the highest point in the plain. Because it is located at the “source of water,” it is an important irrigation lifeline for the Lanyang Plain. The hope is to allow students to personally enter this land through environmental education, combining “century-old canals,” “environmental education,” and a “drifting river experience,” so that students can truly understand the source, use, and protection of water resources, and learn to respect nature and practice the responsibility of sustainability.
