This tour is amazing led by our lovely leader Xiao ji. She is extremely knowledgeable about the area, being a native, and shared unsurmountable history about the places we visited. In event there is language barrier, she is quick to use language translator to ensure smooth communication and avoiding any misunderstandings. She is also attentive to all of our needs, and can accommodate modt form of compensations in event things dont go to plan and ensures the tour always moves at a precise time. Absolutely recommended

tour guide: is helpful, accommodating and she always update us on what is next to do and what is the next activity. accomodation options: they upgraded our room as we have our own room with own cr and complete toiletries itinerary: we had great experience and they tried to follow the itinerary attractions: we were surprised that the attractions are really fun specially the river drift
Initial coordination was good - merchant was responsive. But, it quickly went downhill due to a serious lack of transparency. The tour page did not clearly state that several key activities—Hometown, Rafting, Snowmobile, and ski clothes—were not included. We were informed of these extra charges only just before arriving at the 1st destination, leaving us no real choice. We ended up paying an addtl 980 yuan each, felt scammed!. Even the tour guide said that foreigners are often confused & surprised by these fees (recurring issue). The tour guide’s communication was also very poor. Although she said she was not fluent in English, she could have at least shared basic instructions and important details: we were left guessing throughout the tour. She also showed little care for group safety, leaving some guests behind while walking through cold, dark streets in Snow Town. She repeatedly pressured guests to leave good reviews and give tips, which was uncomfortable & unprofessional.

About keeping warm
- Clothing: Winter travel clothing should include down jackets with windproof, waterproof, warm, breathable, and soft textures. In snowy weather, wrap your face with a hat and scarf, leaving no skin exposed.
- Shoes: Warm cotton shoes are very important. If you are a tourist from the south, you can buy cheap snow cotton shoes with thick soles for only a few dozen yuan. Be sure to pay attention to the large pattern on the sole for slip resistance. Do not buy hard plastic soles, as hard plastic will become hard and brittle at low temperatures and easily slip.
- Gloves: Choose gloves with five fingers for flexible finger movement and warmth.
- Knee pads: Both men and women can choose to wear knee pads for good warmth.
- Hat: It is recommended that men choose a simple style of woolen hat; women should choose a hat that is both beautiful and warm.
- Scarf: A scarf can wrap the neck and create a stylish look. It is recommended to choose a woolen scarf as the main choice, and it is not suitable to wear a silk scarf.
About using the camera
- In winter, the temperature is low. Pay attention to carrying a camera that can work normally at low temperatures, especially the battery. Low temperature affects its discharge, so carry several sets of fully charged batteries, and keep the spare batteries warm and close to your body. Take them out when you use them, and put them away immediately after use to prevent the camera from freezing.
- Do not expose the camera to the air when suddenly entering the room from the outside, otherwise the surface of the low-temperature camera lens will condense frost.
- To take close-up shots of Changbai Mountain Tianchi, if you want to capture the entire Tianchi in the lens, you need as wide-angle a lens as possible.
About skin care measures
- Because Changbai Mountain uses heating for indoor heating, the humidity is generally around 20%. Therefore, it is very important to prepare oily lipid skin care products with moisturizing effects, which can prevent dryness and cracking. Use skin care products appropriately before going to bed indoors, and put a glass of water on the bedside to increase the humidity in the room.
About eye protection measures
- On a sunny day, Changbai Mountain feels warm, but the snow reflects strongly, so you need to wear sunglasses for protection. People with nearsightedness are advised to use contact lenses, which can avoid fogging of the lenses and facilitate the matching of sunglasses.
