Reviews
i love this tour! since the floating market is 1.5 hrs away from our hotel in riverside bangkok, the tour operator gave us a private van that can accommodate 16 people, but we were only 9 in the van! very comfortable, the Ac is working perfectly and tour guide is very patient with us. you csn negotiate with the driver/guide on where you want to be dropped off in bangkok area, even if the tour says iconsiam.
Great tour, definitely a must visit when you come to Bangkok. The railway market is one of a kind, you can see how busy and “ well trained “ the locals are when dealing with the train schedules. Better to get a drink and sit down place to get the best view. It’s quite far from Bangkok, not easy to access if you don’t drive, day trip is a great option. Water flow market is nice as well, but more touristy, been there several times. The price in both markets are more affordable, example THB 20 per coconut.
The tour guide this time is Roger. He is very nice and speaks fluent Chinese. The pick-up service this time is great because there is a certain distance from point to point. Roger is also very good at the floating market and Maeklong Railway this time. Careful explanations gave us an in-depth experience of local culture
I see that everyone’s comments are not very clear, so I will briefly explain the experience of the entire trip. Before 9:20 in the morning, the seven of us arrived at the meeting point at the corner of Central World, behind the Ganesha statue. There was a little space to shelter from the sun. The driver arrived at the adjacent lane between 9:25 and 9:28 in the morning. The driver politely invited us to get in the car and filled in the insurance information before setting off to start our journey. The space in the car is very large, and the air conditioning is cool and comfortable. Because there is no one else in the group, We occupied a chartered car by ourselves, and our friends and family members who were traveling with us all lay down on the chairs and fell asleep. We stopped at a rest stop in the middle and arrived at Damnoen Saduak Floating Market at about 11:15 in the morning. We got on the new electric motor boat cooperated with KLOOK. There were two boats in total, one for four people and the other for three people. In addition to food and drinks, all other commodities in Damnoen Saduak are five times the price of other night markets. Even if you bargain, it is still two to three times more expensive than outside. If you really like to buy, after all, others also have to do business. The whole boat trip was very comfortable, but they are not likely to race the boat like before, maybe because of safety concerns. The only bad experience is if you are pulled away by the merchant who cooperates with the boatman, the awkward atmosphere of not consuming. However, the boatman will still be responsible and simply tell us where we are going, or if there are big lizards nearby to see. After completing the Damnoen Saduak itinerary simply, the time is about 12 noon, The driver kindly used the translation software to ask us if we wanted to go to the market in Damnoen Saduak for lunch. We were given about an hour to dine there. We simply had crab fried rice and returned to the car at 1:40 pm. Then we arrived at the Maeklong Railway Market around 2:00 pm. The train arrived on time at 2:30 pm. It was a great experience to watch the railway market quickly fold up to make way, and then quickly return to the market! Then we got on the car at 2:50 pm and headed to the Amphawa Floating Market. It was fun to visit and buy here, and there were a lot of delicious food. Unfortunately, the time given was a bit too short. We had to gather back to Bangkok at 4:30 pm. Overall, this trip was great! I just hope to stay in the Amphawa Floating Market for a little longer. After all, this is the only attraction among the three attractions where you can visit and buy the most.
We informed before the trip that the group could not be organized, so we helped to change it to another itinerary - Damnoen Saduak Floating Market + Elephant Zoo. It was a fun day and saw a lot of different things. You can also ride an elephant at your own expense, which is a very special experience.
The originally registered group failed due to insufficient number of participants, but later joined other available groups. The tour guide explained very well in English and Chinese, and everyone on the tour had a great time. It was great!
It’s a great activity experience. I’ve been there countless times. This trip with my family and my parents gathered at 9:30 in the morning to go to the Damnoen Saduak Floating Market and then to the Maeklong Railway. Finally, I arrived at my favorite Amphawa and returned to icon Siam. About 19 : At the end of 30, there is only a driver without a tour guide. Very recommended! ! !
The driver was great and took us to each place with sufficient time. However, I felt there wasn't much to buy in these markets and were more a tourist trap.
had such an enjoyable time here and experiencing a bit of the culture here!! a must do if you come to Thailand
I was assigned another tour because my group was only 3/6 people so they didnt want to accommodate. Overall, good experience because the guide was good, explaining about the history of the markets and even brought us to interesting places. Will book again the next time I come to Bangkok
