Penguins are so cute. The wind is strong, so you should wear a hat.

What To Expect

For many visitors to Melbourne or Phillip Island, the penguin parade is a must see! When people think of Australian animals, the little penguin is usually not on the top of their list. However, Phillip Island is home to the world's smallest penguins. As the sun begins to set, these little penguins return to their home on shore after a day out fishing. It's truly magical to see so many creatures waddle their way back to the beach. Phillip Island in itself is worth exploring, before sunset you can spend time meeting the more famous koalas at the Koala Conservation Centre or take a walk at Nobbies cliff top - keep an eye out for any seals and migrating whales!

Amazing experience!! Cute penguins coming back to the shore during sunset. Cannot be missed when you go to Melbourne!!

We bought Penquin Plus tickets which gives you seats right on the beach. This is highly recommended as you can really get up close to see the penguins emerging from the sea. They came out right on the dot at sunset and you're supposed to arrive at least an hour prior. It was very windy and freezing on the night we were there (Dec 25) which made it a very uncomfortable wait. We were freezing even with winter jackets and scarves so be prepared. Fun activity.

it was a very windy day and had to wait for quite a while before the penguins arrive. however, it was amazing to see such an natural event in person! will definitely recommend others to go and see!

Smooth booking and entrance. the parad is nice to see and plenty to see in ths season. Very good experience. Also the trip was cancellable before 48 hours, which the official site dies not offer. Five star review

Klook provides a very good service. I bought the peniguin plus ticket but the sign to show the way to that sitting platform is NOT clear. We went to the wrong way and have to sit on the sand that is supposed to the cheapest fares. Apart from that, the peniguin parade is worth waiting.

My family totally enjoyed this activity. .y boys aged 3 and 6 were both so excited when they saw the first batch of penguin returning from the sea to their homes.

While klook offers fantastic value, we could have just gone for the penguin plus. It is on the same broadwalk so when the penguins come back, we could see them match pass by there. It is now mating season and sunset is actually at 8.30pm. We could go at around 745pm and still be in time to see them.
