Very disappointed with the experience. This event is not cheap at all at 150/pax. For the price I paid, it seemed that the cost went to performers, rental of the place etc. The food came out in batches in very small portions. There was not enough to go around especially to the people sitting at the mezzanine level. I had to position myself outside the entrance of the kitchen like a vulture so that I can try the food before it runs out.It was only through feedback that the staff directed the waiters to the mezzanine level to prevent a crowd building up. The portion of the food is miserable indeed and I left the place hungry. A little disappointed with the experience.

Event started 30 minutes late. Portion of food is tiny and my husband and I went home still feeling hungry, even when we had almost 2 portions of each food item. 3 alcoholic drink coupons are given and endless supply of non-alcoholic options. Guests waited at the exit sign (like vultures) where servers will be coming out with their food trays, not exactly the kind energy we should be showing given the prestige of the location. Not sure what I am eating sometimes. Maybe the idea of future food is scarcity? 😂

Event did not meet our expectations. Started late, overall very chaotic, no clarity on how things were going to run down, difficult to coverse because of loud music and most importantly it underdelivered on the food (not enough for the amount of people there, nowhere to sit, underwhelming in terms of taste). We left early to have food elsewhere in town. Wouldn't recommend it if it's food you're interested in...

This was a terrible event. We arrived at 6:30 to a nearly empty venue, and it pretty much stayed that way. The first bite of food was served at 7:30pm and it was a cold canapé of a rubbery mystery meat (?) and watermelon rind. The entertainment was just 3 women in "futuristic" costumes walking around at 7pm. The bar was disorganized. You had to pay for water and had to drink it out of a glass bottle because they wouldn't give you a drinking glass. We left after the first awful piece of food was served. This was nothing like described. Just a very messy, poor production, and a total rip off of $150 each.

Future of Food at SKAI felt more like Future of Fasting. We stood outside for 30 minutes before entry. The “show” opened with two (then one) men in space/motorcycle helmets wiggling to generic clips that felt like stock internet videos. The main act was three women in spacesuits holding poses for ~10 minutes—by that time dog years have passed (somewhere between 1.5 and 2 hours). “Finger food” finally touched down: abalone with watermelon rind (niche at best), followed by “chicken wings” made from plant-based meat—deep-fried, because nothing says tomorrow like extra acrylamide. We left hungry without touching any of the supposed “future food” and dashed to the nearest sushi bar. For S$300, I expected vision, taste, and basic hospitality—not cosplay, stock footage, and a snack drought. I want my money back.
