Good to know
You will be watching the Grand Sumo Tournament from reserved B-class seating (3rd floor seats). Depending on reservation conditions, members of the same group may not be seated together. Requests for specific seats will not be accepted. Smoking is prohibited inside the venue. Refunds will not be issued even if customers do not enter the venue for personal reasons, etc. If you plan to schedule other activities before or after the tour on the same day, or if you are traveling from Kyoto, Hiroshima, or other locations to participate in the tour, please allow plenty of time. Please note that if the following events are in progress upon your arrival, you may have to wait to be seated: sumo matches, makuuchi wrestlers’ ring-entering ceremony (dohyoiri), grand champion ring-entering ceremony, wrestler stomping ceremony, or the Sumo Association’s address (on the final day of the tournament). If this occurs, you will be taken to your seat after the event is over. One child aged 0-3 can participate free of charge per adult. Please note that seats are not provided at the Sumo Tournament and they will be required to sit on a parent or guardian’s lap. Age is based on the age on the day of participation (if a seat is required, please book at the adult price). Please note that there are no coin lockers or luggage storage services available inside the venue, so please leave large luggage in lockers or other storage facilities elsewhere in advance, or minimize the amount of luggage you bring. All travel participants under the age of 18 must provide written parental permission. Participants under the age of 15 or who have not yet enrolled in junior high school must be accompanied by a parent or guardian on the tour.
