I highly recommend visiting Nha Trang's main attractions with a guide. I learned a lot about Nha Trang, and the guide's assistance made getting around very convenient. My guide, Bennie, is very knowledgeable about the history of Vietnam and Nha Trang and explains things very well. Plus, the taxi fares and ticket prices for transportation and admission were very reasonable!

They gave us a great introduction, and best of all, as a local, they protected us from getting ripped off. They also introduced us to some authentic local restaurants, so we now know where to go for the rest of our trip.

I wanted to use a tour guide this time because it's my first visit to Vietnam, and I hoped to gain a deeper understanding of an unfamiliar country! The tour guide was very shy, perhaps because she's only been studying Chinese for a year and doesn't use it much, so there were still many communication barriers.
