Singapore's MINT Museum of Toys will impress and delight both adults and kids with its vast collection of vintage toys from around the world
Don't be confused. MINT has nothing to do with the popular gum flavor. MINT stands for Moment of Imagination and Nostalgia with Toys. And that means that MINT is a true paradise for going back to childhood days and a real must-visit for families with kids. The museum features an extensive collection of vintage toys, considered to be the largest of its kind in Southeast Asia. You will get to see more than 50,000 toys and memorabilia from over 40 countries including Singapore, Germany, Japan, the United Kingdom, the United States and more, ranging from the mid-19th century to the mid-20th century. Whether a child or an adult, this is a one-of-a-kind magical experience in the heart of Singapore.
How To Get There:
You'll enjoy it of you're a toy collector and if you have children with you. Personally l, I did not enjoy it as much as I enjoyed National Museum and National Gallery. The aircon in the building is hot and some exhibit is under maintenance when I got there.
It was underwhelming. Nothing much unless you are into toy collecting. Could have more write ups about the toys and it will be good to have toys that guest can have interaction with.
Very interesting display of old toys. The only downside was it is not that interactive for the guests. I guess it's fine for adults who love classic stuff but for children, I think they'd get bored fast. There are five levels of different toys. I suggest you take the elevator to the top floor and make your way down.
a small museum that has a LARGE collection of toys all over the world, very relatable and interesting!
It was a journey down memory lane. All the levels were fun but the stuffed toys level was cute. It's an amazing experience for kids and adults alike. Must visit!
