It was a good deal (pick up from the hotel) and a well-packaged safari experience and overall we had an enjoyable time. However, an issue arose during our return journey that was quite disappointing. Within the allocated time slot (8am to 5pm), the driver made a brief stop on our way back to the hotel at a café so my children could have something to eat. This was a kind gesture and did not incur any additional cost to the company. To our surprise, we later received a call informing us that this stop was not part of the agreed itinerary and we were asked to pay an additional 500 Thai Baht else it will be deducted from the driver’s allowance. This charge feels unreasonable, especially given that the stop was brief, well within the allocated time and done in good faith without any extra expense to the company.
Great experience! The driver uses WhatsApp or WeChat, so it's recommended to install one of them for easy communication.
