Our guide speaks little to no English but important announcements are made clear to everyone. There weren't enough time allocated for the festival at Lake Shikotsu Ice Festival. It would be nice if Lake Shikotsu is arranged in the evening during the festival period for the illumination. We had lunch at the hotel with actual hotel food served by the staffs. It was satisfying. After taking the Mt. Usuzan ropeway up, there's a flight of steps up to the Usu Crater Observatory. Beautiful view but the climb can be a bit straining. More views of Lake Toya from the Silo Observatory. Good opportunity to shop for souvenirs if you've had enough of sightseeing~ Histories and information on Hokkaido are played throughout the journey through the headset provided in English, Mandarin and Korean.

great experience to see the natural but the food arrangement is just so so

Taking this tour was one of the best decisions I made during my trip to Sapporo during snow festival season. I'd rate it 6/5 stars if I could. I found the time alloted per destination reasonable, considering the itinerary we got to cover in a short span of time and the amount of time I wanted to spend outdoors during winter. Also, note that the destinations aren't easily accessible by regular commute, and it would've been impossible to cover all of them in a day without being part of a tour group. Lake Shikotsu and Mt. Usu were particularly stunning in the winter. The pictures below which I took during the trip should speak for themselves. While true that the tour guide who accompanied us couldn't speak much English, the multilingual audio guides built into the bus seats were more than sufficiently informative and properly timed to correspond to what you were seeing outside the bus window. Finally, the tour came with a great, traditional Japanese meal. I thought we'd just get a simple packed lunch; I did not expect a good sit-down meal at a hotel restaurant at this price point. A picture may be found below for your reference.

This group belong to government and got good organization. For us we got local lady as tour guide, but she is very good and helpful. We can listening to explain from earphones when you take the bus. Unlucky we are not able to take cable car due to the weather. 👍

I highly enjoyed this trip! Made friends along the way from my home country, Philippines! I loved the view of the lakes and mountain area as well as the selection of food there! I enjoyed taking many pictures of the places I went to! The tour guide was so nice as well! I gave her some dried mangoes from my country and she gave me a japanese snack!
