Joined this walk and loved the stop around Gopa Chowk, where the little post office is still running like it's from another era. Guide told us funny stories and we ate a lot, very worth it lah. Good for photos too!
Gandhi Chowk was the highlight for me. Our guide pointed out the best spots for textiles and let us sample chai and street snacks right from the vendors. Felt like a local walking through the market. Easily the best two hours of our trip.
The tour ended at Gadisar Lake right at sunset and it was beautiful, with the small temples reflected in the water. The guide explained the history and we tried local sweets along the way. Highly recommended, great value for the price.
The pace of the tour was just right, not too rushed. The tour guide took us to see the castle and the old market, and we also got to try many local snacks. Highly recommended for first-time visitors to Jaisalmer!
Very nice tour of the Jaisalmer fort, with a passionate guide who knows every alley. The tastings were delicious, especially the small local snacks. Only drawback: the group was a bit large for the narrow passages. I still recommend it.
Jaisalmer Fort is a living fortress with actual families, shops and temples inside, which I did not expect. Guide knew his history and the food stops were tasty. Only wish we had a bit more time inside the fort before moving on, but a solid two hours.
Going to Gadisar Lake at sunset was truly beautiful, and the tour guide even took quite a few photos for us. The only minor regret was that there were quite a few tourists by the lake, but overall it was still well worth it.
Wasn't sure about a two-hour tour but it packed a lot in. Walked the fort, tried street food I never would've ordered on my own, and our guide was a total pro. Bring water, it gets toasty!
Gandhi Chowk was buzzing and the guide really knew everyone there. We tried some local snacks and sweets which were really good. Very well organised, good value for a short tour.
The small post office at Gopa Chowk is a gem: we stopped by, and our guide explained how it still operates today. A wonderful tour through alleys and tastings, truly recommended.
