What to expect
This is a unique 40-minute cruise experience around the Otaru Canal and harbor, utilizing a rare "landfill canal" found in Japan. To preserve the ambiance of the historic Otaru Canal and cityscape, we use sophisticatedly designed and environmentally friendly electric boats and biodiesel-powered vessels.
In the seal engraving experience, you will carve your name in Tensho script onto a natural stone called Rohseki. Seal engraving was introduced from Song and Ming China to Japan during the Edo period and became a major boom among artists. You can create your own, one-of-a-kind seal. Children can also participate in this experience, making it a wonderful souvenir. Enjoy using it for a wide range of purposes, such as stamping on artistic works like calligraphy and paintings, or on letters. This experience allows you to intimately feel the downtown atmosphere and lifestyle of Otaru.
