- The journey begins at Kishi Station. This originally quiet little station was remembered by the world because of a cat named Tama. Walking into the station, cat elements can be seen everywhere, and the station building, trains, and souvenirs all have a relaxed and childlike atmosphere. The short special train experience is more like a small fairy tale, quietly connecting the emotions between people and places.
- Then turn to the lively Shirahama Tore Tore Market. This is a paradise for seafood lovers, with fresh catches neatly displayed, and the market is full of vitality and aroma. If you encounter a tuna dissection show, the atmosphere at the scene will be instantly full. 🐟.
- After the meal, you can choose to go to Shirahama Onsen to relax your body slowly. The sodium bicarbonate spring water is warm and soft. While bathing in the hot spring, you can feel the long-lasting atmosphere of this ancient hot spring town and store energy for the afternoon trip.
- In the evening, come to Senjojiki and Sandanbeki, and the style of painting gradually turns into shock. The layers of rock formations appear rugged and vast under the beating of the waves. Wakayama Kishi station cat worth going if you are a cat fan. cat print train is unique. cafe cat with two cats taking shifts. we thought is a lot of cats at there. lol 😂 sold all kinds of cats related sounvirs. Shirahama Senjojiki & Sandanbeki cliff definitely worth going. you won't see such a nice cliff unless you go Australia 🦘 etc. even in Malaysia. you might not see such too. very very strong wind over there. take care of your small kids and hat. the waves is calm.
I had a great experience on this Wakayama/Shirahama tour! The spots were very well chosen. The coastal views at Senjojiki and Sandanbeki are beautiful, and the underground cave at Sandanbeki was especially impressive. The seafood market stop was also a highlight! You can grill your own seafood at a nearby BBQ restaurant :) Kishi Station and the cat-themed train were incredibly cute and added a unique touch to the day 😍 Overall, it’s a great mix of nature, good food, and something a little different. Our guide, Tiger, was very kind and knowledgeable. He explained the background of each spot and guided the group smoothly. I would happily join another tour with him again!

5/5 Stars - A long but rewarding day hitting the best spots in Wakayama with excellent logistics. as energetic, funny, and very polite. Tiger our tour guide keeps the group on schedule without being rude. He speaks fluent Chinese and conversational English (and Japanese), acting as a vital bridge for international tourists. He help guests take the best photos, organizing lunch spots at the crowded seafood markets, and clearly explaining the history of the locations.
Mr. Tiger has provided me with higher standand of services as a tour guide, such as clear explanation for the scenery spots, bilingual illustration, etcs. I would like to express my appreciation to him.
This was a good trip. Tiger was very organized. I appreciated him sending a photo of himself with his initial contact since the meet up area is hectic. The tour was good and Nitama was adorable, we also returned just after 6pm. Be aware that you may not get the cat train. The trains all have a theme but are on a random schedule. We spotted the cat train parked luckily. Also the Fish market stop may be a bit too long if you are not planning to go to the onsen and the cave entrance fee is ¥1500.
Had the best day on this day trip. The part of the trip to see the cat stationmasters was a little rushed as there was a lot to fit into the itinerary, but we still got the see two of them. Pir guide was very organized and clearly explained everything so there was no stress.
I love this trip!! Not only the tourist spots are beautiful, the weather was awesome too! Tiger, our tour guide was also super helpful and efficient. Reminding us to be punctual which helped the trip to be seamless and not delayed. Very helpful and answered all our questions. He also speaks good English. Beautiful trip! Will definitely recommend.
