The overall experience was good, though travel time was long due to the distance between sites. Visiting during low season meant fewer tourists, but also some shops and facilities were closed. Still, it was worthwhile to see both Qinghai Lake and Chaka Salt Lake in a single day.
It's fun. The schedule is a bit tight, but it's really great that I was able to see two places in one day. The weather was also great and the food was good. The travel time is very long (about 10 hours), but it's unavoidable so it's okay.
The one day tour was pleasant. Greatly appreciate the gesture from the tour guide for offering the taxi she flagged down upon our return

The itinerary itself was really great. The reason I'm not giving it five stars is because the travel time was very long... I knew it would be, but it was still tough. Nevertheless, I definitely don't regret choosing the salt lake tour. It's so beautiful that pictures can't capture it all, so if you're thinking about it, you should definitely go. Guide: I was also worried about not being able to communicate with the locals, but the guide always let us know the meeting times and how to get around via WeChat, so there wasn't much inconvenience :)
It was a great day! Although long & communication being a challenge at times it was overcome by Chem, helpful tour mates,& Google Translator The experience was well worth it. The driver was amazing, driving for all those hours unperturbed. It snowed on the way to Qinghai Lake, making it cold & taking photos tricky, but it made the images more interesting. Chaka Salt Lake is a must see but be careful with train stops as you can spend more time than you'd planned. Stops 1 & 2 were my favourites.

- The temperature difference between day and night is significant in the Northwest region. Even in summer, we recommend bringing a couple of thicker garments to add or remove layers as needed.
