Full-Day Hiking Tour to Kamikochi and Taisho Pond from Nagoya

At first, I was hesitant to join this tour. But, when I finally made up my mind, this tour became one of my most memorable trips here in Japan. Our tour guide Leonardo/Leo was very accommodating. He explained us very well about the routes 1 & 2. You can choose on either of it. We chose route 1, so we could have more time to take pictures on the way. I also commend the bus driver for the safe ride back & forth. 3.5 hours of free stroll around kamikochi was enough to view, take pictures, and enjoy the beauty of the nature. The weather was sunny and the mountains were visible. The rivers are clean and clear. Before we head to the bus terminal at 3pm for the departure going back to Nagoya, we were able to buy gifts and souvenirs near Kappa bridge. Just make sure to always check the time when buying as there are many people in the stores queueing to pay. Overall, this tour is worthy of price and experience.

If you like to spend time in the scenic Japanese alps, this trip to Kamikochi is worth it. Trips to Nagano gets filled quickly during autumn season, so I booked it a few weeks in advance. Travel arrangements were quite good and it was a smooth ride. The staff were friendly and gave instructions in different languages that were easy to follow. I look forward to another trip to Nagano. The weather was so nice, and I had a great time. The guide explained everything very well, and since we were the only non-Chinese people on the tour, I think they took extra good care of us. Thank you!

Initially I was skeptical whether I can complete the hike or not since I am not those who are keen on hiking. However after watching some You Tubes and info that Kamikochi is very scenic thus I decided not to miss it and signed up for the hiking tour. I am glad I did that. Love the tour as Kamikochi is very scenic and also our tour guide, Tomika-san is also very attentive and helpful, always assisting to take good photos for us. The only issue I think the meet up point in the Klook selling page the direction is not clearly specified. Should have do up more visual and signage so that it is easier to find as the meeting point is not at the main road and it is in an inner road. . For me, a day before I went to check it out and had difficulty in finding it. Once I found it I thought I can easily find it the next day, ie the hiking day. But alas! it is not what I thought. I was so near and yet so far as I lost my way in finding the meeting point. I took a taxi at the end

it was unfortunately a rainy day on our trip. it was otherwise a scenic and tranquil trail to walk on leisurely. timing was sufficient for walking and having breaks along the way. recommend the apple pie and yogurt drink at the shops near the bus terminal. guide was not much of a guide, basically just a chaperon during the bus transfer, giving instructions on what time and where to meet, and also reminders not to litter in the bus, that was all. no history or other information given whatsoever for the region.

Went on November 12th before the mountain closure. There were already fewer maple leaves. There was snow on the mountain, and the temperature was low, but it was okay when walking. My hands were very cold and icy. This time, I chose to walk to Myojin Pond, getting off the bus and starting to walk again. Started at Kappa Bridge at 12:00, then returned to Kappa Bridge around 2:30, with departure at 3:10. The line for taking photos at Myojin Pond wasn't too long. If there are too many people in line, consider whether or not to wait. The pace was somewhat fast along the way, not a leisurely stroll, but not quite running either. 🤣🤣

kamikochi is a worth visit. very sceneric and The view is magnificient. The Guide is friendly and willing to help. The itinerary is great.

Itinerary: There are three recommended routes. Following the guide's suggestion for the easier path is already beautiful. The environment is truly stunning; every photo looks like a computer wallpaper.

the guide was able to provide basic instructions, would have been better if personal recommendations were provided. nonetheless the trip was really simple, not too tough as it was mainly hiking on flat ground. there are places to eat though limited, I packed a snack from the train station before I boarded the bus in the morning. at the hiking area there’s a lot of seats for picnic so just bring some food over. the view was also super nice!!
