What to expect
Belvedere Palace, one of Vienna’s most famous landmarks, is home to the world’s largest Gustav Klimt collection, featuring 24 masterpieces, including the iconic The Kiss. This stunning Baroque palace, once the summer residence of Prince Eugene of Savoy, is set within beautifully landscaped gardens that connect the Upper and Lower Belvedere. Built between 1717 and 1723, the Upper Belvedere stands atop a hill, offering breathtaking views of Vienna’s historic skyline. As one of the world’s first public museums, it holds an exceptional collection of Austrian and European art, showcasing works from the Middle Ages to modern times. The palace also played a key role in history as the site where the Austrian State Treaty was signed in 1955
