Smooth and easy journey! Booked my tickets on Klook and just screenshotted the ticket for entry at Ga Phan Thiết. The 4-hour train ride to Ga Sài Gòn was a very nice, relaxed experience. The station at Phan Thiet has a great small cafe (the pork and egg rice was lovely!), and the train itself has a cafe car. Just a heads up for those with heavy packing: the overhead luggage racks are on the smaller side. If your suitcase is bigger than 24 inches, it will be hard to fit it up there. Once you arrive in District 3, Saigon Station has lots of shops and restaurants to explore. Great trip overall!
I traveled by train from Ho Chi Minh City to Phan Thiet. Although I could have shown the voucher from the app, I printed it out just in case I couldn't connect to the app. When I showed the paper voucher, a station attendant at the entrance to the Saigon Station platform told me which platform to go to, and there were several conductors on the platform who guided me, so I was able to board without any trouble. I booked a soft seat, and the fare was reasonable. I thoroughly enjoyed the four-hour journey. I highly recommend it for a leisurely trip.
the experience using train to Phan Thiet is great. The voucher can be reedemed easily.
A rather long but fairly comfortable journey
Overall, it was good, but I shouldn't have booked through Klook because I got the worst train seats. Even though there were many options available, the only choice when booking through Klook was AC soft. The seats were very dirty, and the restroom was extremely dirty, which is not suitable for women. If I had known, I would have booked through another agent.
