Excellent tour! Our guide, Christian, was extremely passionate about the history of Intramuros and shared us many stories. She took very good care of us and one of the best tour guides we ever had! We covered all the historical sites and there was even a support assistant to help with the traffic. The tour included a drink midway, ice cream and cold towel at the end, so well thought out! Highly recommended!
LOVE IT!! ❤️ I went together with my friends and this tour has been very informative and memorable. SPECIAL THANKS TO OUR TOURGUIDE, KUYA PAULO!! 👏 we started the tour by choosing our bikes. the staffs helped us get the bike we preferred and adjusted the seats according to our preference. as we tour around intramuros, we are also accompanied by an another staff that helped us by stopping cars as we pass intersections and checked that no one is left behind. we already planned to take s tour in intramuros but thank God that we chose to tour with bikes! navigating within intramuros by using bikes is very helpful. can't imagine going to all the sites purely walking. our tourguide, kuya paulo, speaks clearly and shows us pictures for us to better appreciate the history behind. he is also very helpful in taking our pictures. well taken pictures!! the tour ended with refreshing cold towels and icecream of our choice flavor. by the way, AVOCADO flavor is sooooo good! tastes like real avocado 💚
Highly recommend. What a fantastic experience. Our tour guide was super knowledgeable and to take a big group around Intramuros and relay the history of each section of the tour was amazing. In retrospect, we should have booked the full 3 hour tour. But the express tour is excellent to do with young children. Such a great way to explore Intramuros. The bikes are also such a great sustainable initiative. I wish I could purchase one to bring home to Australia.
Paolo was amazing! funny! informative! it was a great experience and we enjoyed learning about the history of intramuros. easy bike ride and felt very safe with all the scooters and cars. highly recommend.
Thank you so much a great tour Sir JayR! I didnt know how to bike , but they let me practice for like 30 minutes. My Dad was with me in the trip and knows how to ride a bike. They offered us a bike that has two seaters. So I rode in my Dad's back. I was so happy with the information we have gained in that trip. I was looking forward with the Fort Santiago Dungeons and there are pictures and descriptions presented. I was able to witness the actual height of Dr. Jose Rizal ,our national hero and learn about his contributions and what did the Spaniards did to him in the Intramuros with this tour. The free ice cream was so creamy! And I got to chance to taste all the flavours like 1 teaspoon and 1 scoop of ice cream for yourself. The Ube was my favourite but I choose Avocado flavor ice cream. We chose the Intramuros Tour which is so relaxing and fun option than walking since it was a long distance. The Manila Cathedral was inside was so breath taking with its structure. We got to know some fun facts and some information of the Spanish , Chinese and Americans influences in Intramuros in this trip. I must say to invest in this trip if you want to experience a fun , memorable and educational event in your life. 🥰
The location is in Intramuros, inside the Cathedral of St. Augustine, but it is not directly opposite, but on the side, but it is not difficult to find because there are many people. The service staff is very friendly, and it is easy to get help quickly. You can also choose your favorite bamboo bicycle, there are three types to choose from. If you have a bag, don’t worry because there are basket bicycles. There is also a toilet in the store, so you don’t have to worry about finding it. The tour started on time. My guide Chi was very friendly and professional. Although the explanation was faster, it was also very clear. He was happy to answer the questions that I didn’t understand, or the terms in Spanish or Tagalog. From casa manila to the many attractions in Intramuros, everything was very detailed and clear. Through understanding the history and past developments, my connection with Manila entered a deeper emotional level. In the middle, I arranged a stop to the rooftop of the Bayleaf Hotel to enjoy the sunset, and there was a cold drink, which was really great! All the staff were very friendly and friendly. I highly recommend a sunset tour, absolutely no regrets!
We love our tour guide! Bambike Tour has been an enjoyable experience for us. A fun and very engaging trip that supports eco-tourism and sustainability with the company’s mission and goals. We were stuck on a traffic due to severe flood and heavy rainfall on the way so we had to adjust with a night tour instead of express tour. They were kind enough to wait for us at it was really difficult to make it on time. We had a great tour guide (she’s an OJT); she made sure we were safe and comfortable during the rides. A proper orientation and specific questions were asked if all of us knew how to ride a bike. My kuya and I rode a bamboo bicycle with a seater so that he I can tag along (I don’t know how to ride a bike; so I just “angkas”). I highly recommend this experience for all ages as it is perfectly tailored to travellers who prefer to know more history while engaging on a fun activity tour. Would love to do this again next year!
The tour takes you to the important places around Intramuros. If I had taken this on foot it would have been very tiring but exploring with bicycle is fun and less tiring. There are cycling paths and the guide will help with traffic so it's quite safe.
If you come to Manila, Philippines, and don't want to just cool off in shopping malls but truly want to immerse yourself in the soul of this city, then the "Bambike Ecotours Intramuros" is definitely the most surprising decision of my trip. The most charming part of this journey is that we are not riding cold, metallic bicycles, but "bamboo bikes" that are handcrafted by local artisans, have a warm texture, and are environmentally friendly. For families with 10-year-old children, this is not only exercise, but also a cultural experience with educational significance. Today's tour was led by Josh. Although our English proficiency was limited, and we could only understand about 30-40%, Josh's professionalism and enthusiasm transcended language barriers. He very carefully led us through time with vivid body language, historical photos he carried with him, and even simple and easy-to-understand keywords. From the glory of the Spanish colonial period, the heavy history of Fort Santiago, to the scars left by World War II, Josh's explanation was very layered, giving us a new understanding of the history and culture of this ancient city. Even if the language was not completely clear, we could still feel his deep love for this land. Riding a bike with a 10-year-old in the busy streets of Manila was originally my biggest concern. However, the arrangement of this trip was more thorough than I could have imagined. In addition to the guide Josh, there was also a key figure, ChiChi. ChiChi was responsible for moving back and forth in the team. Whenever we reached an intersection or a crowded section of road, he was always the first to block the oncoming vehicles and guide us forward with professional gestures. Because ChiChi was quietly guarding us, we didn't have to worry about the chaotic traffic at all, and the children could focus on the ancient monuments and beautiful scenery in front of them and ride with peace of mind. This "double protection" service model is simply a big plus for family travelers! The warmest surprise for us during the trip was meeting two Taiwanese people in the group. Although we didn't have time to ask their names in the rush of the trip, their enthusiasm made us feel very kind. Because our English was not fluent enough, we inevitably showed confused expressions when Josh explained some of the more profound historical background or architectural details. These two Taiwanese compatriots noticed our needs and took the initiative to translate some key content for us during the rest breaks and helped us ask the guide some small questions about the attractions. Hearing a familiar accent in a foreign land and being able to get such immediate help really moved us deeply.
it was nice to learn and explore the rich history of Intramuros. Our tour guide Prime did a great job and explained very well the event sequence and added trivia that made the tour more interesting. . . it is highly recommended for this tour 🥰🥰😊
