What to expect
A classic Cape Town hike! We hit the trail early to catch that sunrise and soak up picture-perfect golden light. From the summit you’ll be rewarded with breathtaking 360° views of Cape Town’s lovely city, the Twelve Apostles, awe-inspiring Table Mountain, Signal Hill, Robben Island, plus the beaches of Clifton and Camps Bay. It’s like standing inside a postcard! This easy to moderate hike (depending on fitness) takes about 3 hours to complete. Your private mountain-guide will highlight points of interest in the city below and across the bay, touching on the history of our city and its promising future. A fantastic way to start your day, the early morning experience leaves you with enough time to continue exploring Cape Town after your hiking adventure.

We had an exceptional sunrise tour with TJ Van de Kaap and TJ Van de Kaap Sr. The trail was challenging but was facilitated with expert guidance from this team to traverse and climb the mountain. Our guide picked us up on time and explained all the necessary precautions before departure. He was very attentive to our well-being along the way and gave us ample time to take photos at the summit. It was a wonderful trip, although the climb was quite tiring.
