We started from the main parking lot at Glacier Lagoon. Jökulsárlón is a turquoise lake filled with stunning icebergs that have calved from the nearby Vatnajökull glacier.
Next to the lagoon, you’ll board a custom-built Super Jeep, designed to handle Iceland’s rugged terrain. Your professional guide will drive a super jeep and take you to climb Europe's largest glacier, Vatnajökull, and enter a dream world of pure white ice and snow.
Next, we will equip ourselves with safety gear, leave the jeep, and officially embark on our glacier hike. Your guide will explain in detail how the glacier was formed, how it changes, and what makes it unique. Please note that this tour is of moderate difficulty and the hike may be long or slightly steep. If you have any concerns about your fitness level, please contact us before booking.
We will then arrive at the entrance of the ice cave, where you will have plenty of time to explore and photograph this magnificent natural wonder. The interior of the ice cave presents deep sapphire and emerald ice walls, and you can even see ice sculptures carved by nature. Please make sure your camera or phone has enough battery and be prepared for creative photo poses!
