Reviews
Our driver and guide Michael was the best ! He was very friendly and funny which made the journey more comfortable for us. The group was also small which made it easier to manage time and travel. Definitely recommend this tour to anyone !
I really enjoyed seeing North Korea from Aegibong and Eunpyeong Hanok village, and Michael our tour guide was incredible. He was funny, kind, and while we waited to eat our lunch together, he taught me some Korean too. As a solo traveller, I really appreciated how I felt included in the group and how much Michael taught me about Korea and the Korean language. I’m so glad I chose this small group tour and Michael made it a truly incredible experience.
Michael and Sunny did a great job with the tour! My favorite part was getting to see the North Korea view from the Starbucks at Aegibong. This was my first full day in South Korea, so it was also amazing to see Eunpyeong Hanok Village and Jingwansa Temple. The village was a lot less crowded than I've heard Bukshon is. Another highlight was the restaurant, I'm not very familiar with Korean food aside from KBBQ, so it was great to have someone local who could get me to try something I never would've known to try! The guides Michael and Sunny were always willing to take photos of you at the various locations which was great as well. The stories about the history at each of the locations also helped to bring more context that someone like myself (American who doesn't know much Korean history) greatly appreciated. Highly reccommend.
Michael and Sunny are the best tour guides! They are so nice and friendly. Highly recommended and they brought us to the best Korean restaurant for lunch! They shared a lot about the history of Korea and learned some basic Korean! Super entertaining! Got to see a peak of North Korea at Aegibong and love the Eunyeong Hanok Village
Great experience to have a morning coffee with North Korea Countryside view. Nice view for the Eunpyeong Hanok Village and last stop is the Ginseng Museum. Our tourguide Sky is very fun with great choice of musics during travel.
Our guide Yohan was really great. He planned his itinerary very well so we were able to enjoy Aegibong park, Jingwansa temple and Eunpyeong at a nice pace, and really absorb his historical and cultural explanations. Also, Aegibong observatory is so high up, the roads to and from can be winding, but Yohan drove them quite well!
Since the tour was in English and Chinese, I was a little worried about the language, but our guide, Michael, was a very fun person and spoke English slowly and clearly, so I was able to enjoy it thoroughly. It would have been a high hurdle to go to a Starbucks with a view of North Korea on my own, so joining the tour was a great decision. We were able to tour very efficiently and it was a meaningful day. Thank you very much to our guide Michael and everyone who accompanied us.
Our guide Michael made this whole trip an absolutely wonderful experience. He was able to converse with our varied group in English, Japanese and Chinese. He made the trip very personable and injected a lot of good humour and knowledge into the day. This is a small group (vehicle sits about 10 ppl). I'm just noting this down for info.
really great day the meet up area in Hongdae was really easy. the guide Jay had messaged me the night before confirming the pick up area. which was fantastic clear communication picked us up in his van. He was very personable a lovely gentleman and very knowledgeable. Had a great day.
Chris is simply the best guide in Seoul! We took the DMZ Aegibong & Hanok tour, and he was brilliant. His knowledge of the Observatory, Suspension Bridge, and Jingwansa Temple was engaging, and his driving was smooth and safe. What truly set Chris apart was his incredible care. As a strict Celiac traveler, dining in Korea is usually stressful. Chris went above and beyond to find us a safe Mexican lunch, ensuring zero cross-contamination. It felt like a miracle to eat safely! He also patiently helped me navigate Korea’s confusing recycling rules to dispose of a coffee cup correctly, a small detail that saved me from potential fines and showed his genuine local support. Thank you, Chris, for a flawless day. You are a fantastic driver, a history expert, and a genuinely caring host. We cannot recommend this tour with Chris enough!
