Review for: Weekend Day Tour

Highly-recommended. Sightseeing in an 18th-19th century Philippines & pseudo-Europe feel is the main theme of this park showcasing houses lifted from all over the country. Worth visiting for trivia, history, or taking personal videos & pictures. Can photoshoot here for free which is what some did for debut or wedding, just inform the registration staff. Tried Day tour option on a weekday on a budget without spending much and walking a lot (ate & parked outside). This historical-fantasy park of traditional houses with a huge amount of replicas makes it like a theme park - impossible to finish walking through everything in half a day. Quality of replicas are comparable to Goshen's Resort in Tarlac. Average replicas in terms of details, don't expect much if you came for the art. Strongly-advised to wear slip-on shoes or footwear because going in houses requires removing & leaving it outside as sign of respect. Soft flooring; step lightly on the sides. someone slipped when we came. The wooden stairs can be slippery with socks so stay on the sides while holding onto the sides. No wheelchair access into the houses because of the antique nature of the times. Cultural dance show at the end is done by smiling local youngsters from a dance troupe - they performed 6 numbers like Tinikling, itik-itik, maglalatok, etc. Amazing how they were very much in sync at a young age. Tip basket is placed at the last dance number. Casa Quiapo is interesting - where the University of the Philippines' 1908 Seal was once at before UP's School Fine Arts moved to Padre Faura in Ermita. They ask UP graduates a trivia if you're familiar with the CCTV of that time in the building; easy to answer, don't spoil the fun. Replicas didn't feel like it had that aura of the original because of the materials used. If you observe carefully, it's good enough for photoshoots of pictures and videos but nothing beats the real deal so don't get expectations too high. The replicas' quantity and average quality were exactly the reason why it felt like Las Casas had a mixed theme park plus pseudo-vintage feels - didn't feel vintage enough up close while some art gets repetitive on the bridge with the lamp posts. Paintings are lovely for both contemporary style and older pieces. Throughout the walking tour, one can easily spot the replicas in the houses and surroundings. Cobble stones are replicas. The church is a replica, under construction. The Hotel de Oriente is a replica, good façade outside, but interior details didn't give off enough justice to the historical, magnificent awe to its splendor despite the detailed woodcarvings and gold paint. The Spolarium replica's an abstract rendition, consider visiting the National Museum of Fine Arts if you came for the art. Only one house was 95% original. A small scoop of the common "sorbetes" (local ice cream, less creamy than the common ice cream) was Php60, but unique because it comes with "gabi" flavor and the melon option. Souvenirs are okay with a small magnet at Php290 & small keychain at Php260. Pasalubong goods a treat if you've never tried them. There's a pika-pika area near the statue where they do the cultural show at 6pm. Four useful rides to take on the Day tour with Heritage package: Calesa, Balsa, Tram, & Jeepney. Waiting times are only an estimate so take it easy, the 30-45 minutes can be spent taking photos around near the area. Day tour package vs inclusions in the check-in are different, so one might unknowingly forfeit their freebies in the check-in because the tours are separate for check-in vs day-tour clients. Calesa. If you're on a path in a horse-drawn wooden carriage and to hear some local gossip in the usual Philippine history, the Bagac locals are interesting to talk to, just be proactive and ask questions. The horses all have names and a backstory. We rode the oldest one named Makisig but I had pictorials with Daisy. It's a quick trip, but it needs to be scheduled (do this first while waiting for the Balsa ride, one round is quick enough. While waiting for the Balsa, don't miss taking a photo with staff portraying KKK revolutionary leader Andres Bonifacio, Sisa from Rizal's Noli me Tangere, & President Emilio Aguinaldo. They're out from the morning until about 2pm.) Balsa. Schedule ahead of time. Imitation of a water canal ride where waters leads out to the West Philippine Sea. Waters don't have any noticeable odor. You can see replica gargoyles, angels, local monsters up close like tikbalang, and so on along with certain paths to premiere old houses. The sights are great if you take the front. There are several places under construction so it's also a quick ride. Tram. The railroad is mostly under construction so the routegoes to the beach and to the fountain only. Jeepney. Ride repeatedly to go around the area. Looks like the usual jeepney except for the additional grill metal step to make it easier to climb. Other activities are along the beach area. We saw people jetskiing from the bridge. The beach waters are cool, but I say there are better choices to go if you're fond of water. There's also an artificial pond for free use of the check-in client, looks nice for kids. Overall, come here for fun memories in a scenic journey to the past. The staff are friendly should you need any assistance or someone to take your photo.

We absolutely enjoyed our visit at Las Casas. We were late due to queries in the checkpoint areas but they were still able to accommodate us. Kudos to our tour guide Elvie for being nice and warm throughout the tour. We will def come back for a night or two once the pandemic is over.

Las Casas never fails to amazed us. It was my second visit. First time to be with my family. Thank you for the hassle free booking. We had so much fun though we were not able to finish the walking heritage tour because we have a toddler and infant with us. Nonetheless, it’s a worthy experience.

It is a very memorable experience. next time probably will book a room there for sure. the restaurant we went has a very romantic vibe where we eat along a bridge! The tour is very informative on our history and the tour guide really knows what he is talking about - the jokes are really the best. Aside from the tour we have the best experience on the kalesa ride with Kuya Wil and his horse Makisig, he is not only a kalesa? driver he also knows plenty on the history of the places in there, our conversation were thrilling - and he is a joker, too. Too bad we needed to go home (although late), but surely we'll try the balsa ride next time. :)

Although the tour was brief and short, we enjoyed this Klook activity. We used up our credits because it was a bit pricey :P I would recommend this for first timers to Las Casas. Thanks!

Las Casas Filipinas de Acuzar is a very beautiful place not very far from Metro Manila. We went there when travel restrictions were temporarily eased (lucky us!) so the place was not crowded. Klook made it sooo affordable, too!

I have always been intrigued by Las Casas & finally got the chance to visit in February 2021. Some of the services & facilities were unavailable but it was such a unique experience to be able to explore the resort with only a few people. COVID protocols were strictly adhered to & I appreciated the email reminders about the travel requirements before our trip. Hoping to come back again with friends & family to share the gem that is Las Casas ❤️ Thank you, Klook, for offering discounts!
