Osaka Castle has been rebuilt three times throughout its history. Initially constructed by Toyotomi Hideyoshi in 1597, the castle was destroyed by fire during the Edo period. After being rebuilt, it underwent further modernization. The current castle tower was reconstructed in 1931 with a steel frame structure, providing enhanced earthquake resistance.
