This place is a must for classical and antiquity lovers. There are a great number of sculpture collections from Greek, Roman times and more. Booking with Klook was easy and the redemption process was smooth and easy. Highly Recommended.
The Archaeological Museum is very worthwhile to visit due to its rich content. However, the process of purchasing and redeeming tickets through Klook is quite troublesome. I initially thought I could simply scan the QR code from the order for entry, but then realized I had to check my email first. The email contained instructions to install the Istanbul Tourist Pass app. When logging in, the Pass number wasn't the number next to the QR code, but the Klook order number. Moreover, I had to use my given name as my last name. I was worried I would waste the ticket money, but after many attempts, I finally managed to display the entry QR code. It feels like it would have been easier to buy tickets directly at the Archaeological Museum entrance.
A beautiful and interesting museum, but some pavilions are closed. I really enjoyed the antiquity halls, and there's an acropolis outside, which enhanced the visit.
The museum's architecture is magnificent, and the exhibits include Greek and Roman-style sculptures, the Alexander Sarcophagus as its treasure, and archaeological artifacts unearthed from the nine layers of the Troy site. However, the museum's exterior and some exhibition halls are under renovation, making the route to get there less easy to identify.
Great museum with artifacts from the Turkish region dating from 6th Century BCE. Memorable exhibitions include the Hellinestic period, Byzantine period and Troy. Marbles, coins, statues, pottery are among the items displayed. The only concern I had was not receiving the museum tickets (qr codes) the day before my visit. The museum reception had to help me make a call to the ticket provider to get the QR codes for my tickets.
It was a bit chaotic in mid-November 25.11 due to outdoor construction. The first floor definitely had more to see and was more impressive, especially the sculptures! There is a Korean audio guide available, but it's read by a foreigner, so there are some pronunciation issues. It's not difficult to understand, but you have to look at the numbers on the artwork and manually play the corresponding section, which is quite cumbersome and inconvenient.
Attention Japanese customers: This product is very difficult to use and lacks sufficient explanation. Simply purchasing it is not enough. The day before, you will receive an email from an unfamiliar company. From there, you need to install the specified app. Then, you have to return to the Klook website to find your booking number and enter it into the app. Even after finally logging in, a system error prevents the ticket from being issued. You will need to contact support, which is done through the designated WhatsApp number listed in the email from the unfamiliar company. I found this out on the spot and it took about an hour to enter. While the support staff responded quickly, I then couldn't log in to the audio system no matter what I entered, just wasting time. I cannot recommend this product.
I showed my voucher but was still denied entry. I was told that this company was not a partner, and it was difficult to get in! Eventually, I called and was able to enter, but it took a long time. I was helped by a staff member named Shua who spoke Japanese. Please implement measures to ensure smoother entry in the future. Ease of booking with Klook:
