Reviews
I had an amazing experience taking this cruise from Onomichi Port to Kure Port with my friends. As we stopped in Mitarai Island, we can enjoy while strolling around the beautiful old town with calm and peace surroundings. We even bought lemons and oranges, and found beautiful flowers blooming.
One of the best experiences I have ever had. The Setouchi Shimatabi Line ferry gives spectacular views and experience of the Seto Inland Sea including stopovers at small islands along the way making the journey much enjoyable and worth it. The crew were very friendly and kind in explaining different places and sites along the way. I highly recommend this service to residents and tourists seeking to explore the Seto inland sea and surrounding areas.
Review for Setouchi Shimatabi Line I enjoyed my experience on the Setouchi Shimatabi Line overall. Although I wish I had more time to explore everything, the island’s charm made up for it. I loved the relaxed atmosphere, discovered affordable oranges and lemons, and even got to play with a friendly dog. A delightful blend of nature, culture, and unexpected fun!
I recently had a wonderful sightseeing trip to Mitarai Port, Osakishimojima (Kure City) by boat. From the beginning, it was a delightful experience. We received a warm and grand greeting from not only the boat staff but also from the people of Onomichi and junior students who played great music and shook hands with us. Onboard, the boat was comfortable, and we enjoyed delicious food while taking in the beautiful views outside. Upon arriving at Mitarai Port, we had an hour to explore the peaceful area. There were a few shops selling mandarins at a very cheap price. I bought 5 for only 100¥, and they were incredibly sweet. Overall, it was a nice trip, and I highly recommend it.
Beautiful coastal views, smooth ride, and a relaxing journey through the islands. A great way to explore Setouchi!.xzx
Why is everything in Japan beautiful? The chance to experience the wonderful scenic spot of the Seto Inland Sea and to witness personally the historical Mitarai Temple is truly amazing! Thank you Hiroshima Tourisim for the wonderful tour!
the view and the trip was beautiful. the seating is comfortable and the staff is friendly. everything is clean. the time in Mitarai was a little short. I would have wished for more time there and for more ports to charge the phones.
i love the welcome performance by the kure high school students. i enjoyed the trip, its very amazing and educational tour. Will definitely promote it.
Truly a wonderful experience. The ship was well-mentained and clean. The staff were all friendly and helpful. It has option to seat in an enclosed seating area or an open deck. During the cruise we enjoyed the nice view of sea. Mitarai island, truly is a hidden gem. It is a small and warm town to explore. Lots of nice art works too!
The four-and-a-half hour cruise around the beautiful islands of the Seto Inland Sea was a luxurious and fulfilling experience. The calm sea and the scenery of the scattered islands was amazing, and the view from the boat was like a painting. In particular, when we disembarked at Osaki Shimojima, we were able to stroll through the townscape that still retained the atmosphere of the Edo period, which was a great opportunity to experience history.
