Head to another world deep in the darkness of Lofthellir Ice Cave on this private tour, complete with flights that take you from the city of Reykjavik and off to Akureyri. Upon arriving at Akureyri, the journey begins with your guide accompanying you to Lake Myvatn, which is well known for its vivid landscapes. Hvanfell, you will make the hike across a vast lava field which takes you to Lofthellir Ice Cave itself. Your guide can tell you about the formation of the icicles and how the cave had been created out of the water flow of thousands and thousands of years. You'll spend up to an hour exploring the winding turns over this cave and see new wonders with every step of the way. On the way back, you can learn more about the geology of the landscape around the lava fields and Lake Myvatn before you take your flight back to Reykjavik.
