The terminal in Shinjuku was amazing! It felt like an airport for buses. The experience itself was awesome. They departed and arrived on time while there were ports and individualized seats on the bus making it private and still a relaxed travel. It's good for those who are in a budget since you are saving yourself a night of accomodation while also booking a cheap alternative of a train ride to Kyoto.
Took the night bus from Tokyo to Kyoto and it was a smooth and comfortable ride. The seats were cozy, clean, and reclined well for sleeping. It was also a great way to save on a night’s hotel stay. Arrived on time and well-rested — highly recommend for budget travelers!
the ride from Kyoto to Tokyo was very comfortable and quiet. there was ample leg space and storage was available overhead and for checked bags. there was a washroom inside the bus. highly recommended. Bus stops at service area every 2 hours.
i love that the seat has its own plug. and the driver made sure we were comfortable during the whole stay and upon arrival in Kyoto. would recommend!
It’s recommended! It’s half the price for Shinkansen ticket to Tokyo. And you can get a day without accommodation, because you’ll sleep on the bus. Everything was sooo good!
It was very comfortable and helpful. The terminal was also very conducive and made things easy for me as a tourist. The bus numbers were clearly displayed on the screen, and the staff were very friendly and helpful. The bus itself was very comfortable, allowing me to rest peacefully without any disturbances. There were also power outlets available, so I could charge my phone.
Comfortable night bus from Tokyo to Kyoto. The seats were spacious and easy to sleep on, and the bus was clean and quiet. It’s a great budget option for traveling between the two cities and saving time overnight.
Departure 10:05 p.m., arrival 6:00 a.m. in Kyoto. The seats were quite comfortable and could be reclined. The bus makes stops about every 2 hours and turns all the lights back on. Remember to bring an eye mask. Women are seated in the back and men in the front.
