What to expect
Experience Description
In this unique 4-5 hour cooking workshop, you will enter an authentic local spice market, exploring it through fun challenges, completing and learning about the different kinds of Sichuan spices and ingredients that will be used in the following cooking class. The class will take place in the host's workshop. You will taste local Sichuan tea, as this is a local custom for entertaining friends and visitors. Afterwards, you will begin the cooking process in a comfortable kitchen under the guidance of a professional chef. Finally, you can enjoy the dishes you made with some beer or drinks. This cooking class is informative, fun, and interesting, and will be an unforgettable experience in your life.
Experience Process
Meet the host at Exit D of Liangjiaxiang Subway Station (Line 6) at the agreed time. Local Spice Market Visit (approximately 1 hour): The host will take you into an attractive local market for exploration, where you will discover or obtain some necessary ingredients or spices that will be used in the subsequent cooking class. Cooking Process (approximately 2 hours): After finishing the spice market, you will stroll through the back streets to the cooking class location, a hidden gem – a traditional Sichuan-style courtyard. When you arrive there, you can take a break and drink Sichuan Gaiwan tea. Afterwards, you will begin the cooking process under the guidance of a professional chef. Lunch or Dinner Time (approximately 1 hour): You will enjoy the dishes you have cooked yourself, along with some beer or drinks.
