What to expect
[Hinoguchi Garden] Pick strawberries. From January to May, it is the strawberry season in Izu. You can taste different varieties of strawberries, and you can pick and taste them as much as you want. [Kawazu Nanataki] Located at the southern foot of Amagi Pass, Kawazu Town is the setting of Kawabata Yasunari's masterpiece "Izu no Odori" and is also the main tourist attraction of Kawazu Town. About 25,000 years ago, the lava of the Kawazu River combined with the river water to create the magnificent landscape of Kawazu Nanataki and the canyon. [Kawazu Early Cherry Blossoms] The cherry blossoms are reflected on the water. It is definitely as good as the scenes in Japanese dramas when you catch the moment when the tram passes by in the distance. The farther away from the station, the fewer people there are. Note: After March 1, 2 check-in spots will be specially changed. [Sakura no Sato] The secret place for cherry blossom viewing at the foot of Mount Omuro. Although it is small, there are many cherry trees, which is very suitable for taking photos and checking in. [Jiosaki Coast] Kadowaki Suspension Bridge, check in the superb sea view suspension bridge, which is still a niche, so you can play and take pictures~

Thanks to our tour guide Linda today! A very responsible person who ensures everyone is on time and has flexible schedules. Today is a holiday in Japan, and Linda called the strawberry orchard several times, thinking that the orchard was closed. But she finally arrived and found that the orchard was open, and we were all very happy. Then we went to Shuzenji Temple. Since Kawazu learned that the cherry blossoms there had not bloomed yet, Linda was flexible and took us to the plum grove in Atami! Thanks to her guidance, we have a wonderful memory!
I’m not sure if I read the tour description correctly as I was expecting to go to the waterfalls but ended up going to the Shuzenji Onsen. Given that it was a day trip, we were not interested in the Onsen and explored Shuzenji instead. Shuzenji was lovely! it was like Kyoto but no crowds! the temples, red bridges and atmosphere were all worth missing the Onsen. It was a very serene place. We were a little early for the cherry blossoms in Kawazu but we still enjoyed the festive atmosphere.
The cost-effective day tour includes all-you-can-eat strawberries and Kawazu cherry blossoms. It is a very rich itinerary. It takes four hours to return from Kawazu to Tokyo, with rest stops along the way.
The trip was pleasant overall though we didn’t get to enjoy the full bloom of cherry blossoms due to the colder than expected weather. Our guide kousei was helpful and friendly, who helped us take photos when we were picking strawberries.
You must join a tour group to go to Hejin. It is inconvenient to go by yourself. Eat all you can of fresh strawberries, then go to seven waterfalls, and it's snowing. The cherry blossoms in Kawazu are very beautiful, and the cherry blossom daifuku is a must. On the way back, the driver also took us to enjoy the Mount Fuji check-in spots
Overall, I had a good time on this tour, and the activities were worth the trip. However, there were a few things that could have been better. For one, as of writing this review, the Klook listing is incorrect. The itinerary does not include the waterfall as advertised, instead we go to a temple or an onsen. The listing also only gives you the option of being picked up at Tokyo Station, while on other websites you get to choose Shinjuku station where we picked up other people and which would've been closer for me. The guide was nice, but the entire day felt chaotic. The guide kept video calling everybody 15 minutes before it was time to meet up. She kept mentioning having lunch at a hotel, but when it was clear that there had been different information on different listings, she said we'd be doing lunch independently, which is fine, but wasn't made very clear and some people were confused and didn't eat. When we got to the strawberry farm the guide said it might not be open and even if so, there might not be any strawberries left. This should have been checked and confirmed before the tour started, not when we arrived at the farm. Luckily it worked out and we got 30 minutes (not an hour as listed, but you don't need that long) to pick and eat strawberries in the greenhouse. Lastly, we were informed after our second stop that because there were no cherry blossoms yet, we'd go to Atami instead. This was a good decision, but the guide kept saying we'd be seeing cherry blossoms, but we actually were taken to a plum blossom park. They're just as beautiful, but no need to mislead and say they're cherry blossoms. On the way back we had to sign a document saying we approve of the change of locations, but we weren't asked, we were told, so that was a little unprofessional. Finally, about an hour into driving back to Tokyo, the bus stopped for a bathroom break, but for some reason it lasted around 40 minutes, which just made the long ride back even longer.
Christy was friendly and made the tour fun. We came a few weeks too early for the cherry blossoms but they compensated and brought us to see plum blossoms. I recommend.
This trip is very fun and Mr.Andy is good Guide good service.
I would like to express my gratitude to Andy, the guide, who helped me finish the last part of my trip in Japan in a wonderful way. Part 1, the strawberry house, was a great way to start the trip with really fresh and large strawberries, and Part 2, the natural environment of the waterfall with hot spring water flowing was enough to look forward to the next time. Lastly, the Kawazu cherry blossoms were still a bit early, so I was disappointed, but I enjoyed the enjoyable おはなみ in my own way.
Thank you, Andy the tour guide, for showing us around Kawazu and sharing your knowledge. We had an amazing time exploring the area with you!
