What to expect
You can carve your name in seal script on the natural stone Rohseki. Seal carving was introduced from the Song and Ming dynasties of China during the Edo period and became a big hit among artists. You can experience making your own unique seal, one of a kind in the world. Children can also try it, and it makes a great souvenir. It can be enjoyed for a wide range of purposes, such as stamping on works of art such as calligraphy and paintings, or on letters. It is an experience that allows you to get up close and personal with Otaru’s downtown and lifestyle. The experience location is a 6-minute walk from JR Otaru Station, so you can walk to the experience location.
