Smooth experience overall. The views were breathtaking and the monasteries were fantastic. The local guide was really good too. Bottled water was provided after we reach the destination (4hrs+).
After the bus arrived at Larissa Station, it wasn't hard to find the bus pictured. The guide was kind and cheerfully explained a lot of information, and I was able to learn a lot. You can choose to enter the three monasteries by paying an admission fee, or not, it's optional. I recommend visiting the last monastery, St. Stephen's. It was nice that we stopped at several spots to take pictures along the way. Lunch was delicious, and water was provided after arriving in Meteora, so it's a good idea to bring water to drink before that.
It was a long 4hr+ drive but very well worth it! The monasteries were so scenic and beautiful, and truly worthy of their Unesco label
Wonderful and unique meteora landacape. Will visit 3 monasteries, each costs 5 Euro ticket per person. Long transport time but will have lunch and dinner break.
Convenient transportation, the tour bus is right across the street from the station. Although the tour guide spoke English the whole time, you could tell they were very enthusiastic and provided detailed information. 👍👍👍 The only downside is that you need to be careful when using the restroom at the restaurant because the lock isn't very secure!
The stunning megalithic terrain offers beautiful scenery, and the monastery built on the megaliths is truly special. This trek is physically challenging with many stairs going up and down, so be sure to build up your leg strength before participating!
I suggest you provide a picture of the pick-up location in Athens. The journey was smooth, but the weather was not very good. It was a pity that the City in the Sky could occasionally be seen and sometimes not seen in the fog. There are 3 monasteries that you can enter and pay a fee for. You can decide whether you want to visit them or not.
Had a pleasant experience with the tour. Meet up point is pretty easy to find. Bus ride was comfortable. be prepared to do some climbing to enter the monasteries though!
very long journey to meteora but I had a great nap in the coach! the monastaries were so amazing! felt overpriced for the 15 euro paid to enter the monastaries.
The journey is too long, one day is too much! It would be less tiring if it takes 2 days and one night, but the scenery is really beautiful! The tour guide and driver are very nice.
