lovely lovely experience. the ladies were so helpful and sweet. the lady that was helping me walked me through every step and even helped fix some of the mistakes I made. they even gave me tea and a little snack while she put the finishing touches on my necklace.10/10 recommend
Overall, it was an interesting and pleasant experience. The studio was a good place to spend 1.5hr, learning about the Kintsugi craft. Ms Mayo and her team were well prepared for us. They patiently walked us through the steps, a craft skill accessible to all. Importantly, the art product is intricate and unique.
This was a wonderful relaxing experience. My kids enjoyed it, and I appreciated that once the instructor showed us what to do, we were able to do it on our own for the most part. Our jewelry looks beautiful too!
It was a good experience. Being the only student in the class felt abit daunting but the two patient and friendly instructors made the learning of Kintsugi enjoyable. Instructors are also thorough in checking that the product along each step is done correctly. The tea and biscuit served at the end of the class was a nice surprise too! Thank you instructors Mayo and Aya!
My mom and I attended the 11am class while our cruise ship was docked at Naha port. It was quick and easy to walk to the studio from our ship (~20 mins) and we were the only two people in the class which was peaceful and allowed the instructors to give us personalized attention. I made a necklace while my mom made a pair of earrings. They walked us through each step and made any fixes/corrections as needed along the way. They also told us a little more about kintsugi and showed us other examples of the work. The experience took ~2 hours and ended with a welcome cup of tea + sweet. There is also a small but curated selection of pieces for purchase, if you would like to browse or have some more souvenirs. It was so fun and relaxing! We both left with a warm and full heart 💕 I highly recommend!!
I did this experience with my two adult children. We had a fabulous time. The ladies were very helpful and guided us every steroid of the way. There best part usd that each piece is unique and we get to keep them as a momento of this experience.
It was a unique experience. I was the only customer and was given close guidance in making the necklace. Although the staff could not really speak English, there was an instruction sheet in English and she tried her best to communicate with me. I was also served a cup of tea and cookie at the end of the workshop.
We were able to make accessories, so it was also a souvenir of our trip, and it was a lot of fun! The instructors are also friendly and polite, explain in an easy-to-understand way, and is fluent in English, so I recommend it to overseas people.
It was such a great experience. The Ladies there were super friendly and I had a lot of fun during this Workshop. Even though I don't speak Japanese, it wasn't a Problem at all.
both teachers are friendly and English speakable. me and my 10years old daughter also enjoy the special crafting experience at Okinawa
