During summer vacation, I visited Keelung and dined at Evergreen Laurel Hotel Keelung. The buffet there had fresh ingredients, delicious cooking methods, and a beautiful night view, creating wonderful memories. Back in Taichung, I decided to celebrate my family member's birthday at Evergreen Laurel Hotel Taichung, as I hadn't tried it before. However, the ingredients in Taichung didn't seem fresh, which explained why the restaurant was less than ten tables full during dinner—business was terrible. The sashimi looked like it had been frozen for a long time, soft, mushy, and without its luster. The roasted prime rib was noticeably overcooked, although the meat quality was still decent, it was cooked so dry that the texture was vastly different from what I had in Keelung. The cooked dishes looked like they had been prepared long ago and weren't fresh. The crab appeared to have its shell opened, the crab paste removed, and then reassembled; it also tasted stale. For this price range, the ice cream wasn't even Häagen-Dazs. The clip-to-order service was nice, but the delivered Thai prawns were tiny and dried out. Only the steamed fresh fish was good, but it took a long time to prepare. The oysters looked about the same size as the grilled oysters we eat outside. Ultimately, our favorite part was the cantaloupe, which was particularly sweet, soft, and delicious, offering a slightly comforting end to an otherwise unsatisfactory meal. The off-site service staff were quite good, and the seating was spacious and not crowded. That's it; I won't be coming back.

Although there are not many food items, everything is delicious, the seafood is fresh enough, and the desserts and ice cream are also good! The service staff are enthusiastic and friendly, and there are several dishes cooked to order of good quality, including good steaks. It happens to be a favorite item, so it's worth it.
