We booked 4 tours during our Germany trip, 2 from Berlin and 2 from Frankfurt - this was the most expensive yet least valued for money! Take nothing away from Heidelberg - it’s beautiful, with the Heidelberg castle and the view from the other side of the old bridge (which required 10-15mins of steep climbing). Also prompt updates and assistance from MyProGuide Germany Admin, Rebecca. Our Guide Helena is knowledgeable and helpful with taking photos for us and 5 other participants during the tour. However the journey to Heidelberg was TERRIBLE! No coach and we needed 2 train and a bus rides to reach Heidelberg!Initial direct train was cancelled and Helena had to manage logistics while doing her Guide role - did not helped when it was raining. We reached Heidelberg castle at only almost 12pm when we began our journey at 830am! Return trip back to Frankfurt was tram and local train ride, where we reached at almost 8pm! The tour should be cancelled if we had to chase for public transport!!!
The itinerary was very reasonable, the tour guide Helena was warm and thoughtful, and the explanation was detailed. The tour guide specially extended the time to make the trip more relaxing.
