Gangneung 3-Hour Taxi Tour

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐Full marks, highly recommend! The Gangneung car charter experience exceeded my expectations! I arrived at Gangneung Station at 6:35 AM, with my car scheduled for 4:40 PM. After arriving, I got sidetracked trying to buy Gangneung Station apple juice, which took a long time. Initially, I couldn't find the meeting point and had no idea where to wait. It took a lot of effort to finally figure out that we were supposed to meet at the 'I' sign. While I was still feeling lost, the driver, wearing a red shirt, proactively approached and recognized me. Even though I was late, the driver was incredibly understanding and didn't complain at all. Throughout the journey, he was exceptionally thoughtful, concerned that I might be bored, and enthusiastically chatted and explained local customs and culture the entire time. During our casual conversation, I mentioned that I've loved K-dramas and K-pop since childhood, which is why I specifically came to Korea for this trip. To my surprise, the driver was also a Bigbang fan! He immediately played "Bang Bang Bang" in the car, and we sang along together, creating an amazing atmosphere! During the trip, he took me to a popular tofu restaurant and even offered to help take photos, finding great angles. The original plan was to charge an overtime fee at the end of the trip, but the driver ultimately didn't charge any extra fees. He was truly reliable and sincere. The driving was smooth, he was friendly, and the itinerary was flexible and relaxed. For anyone traveling independently to Gangneung, I highly recommend choosing this driver. My trip was filled with warmth, and I will definitely book him again next time I visit Gangwon-do!

Thanks to my driver, 김태일, I was able to have a great time in Gangneung! This voucher was super easy to redeem at the tourist info counter since there’s an English speaker there. I recommend doing a two day trip for anyone who wants to use this voucher. Also, don’t rush when going to each place! I rushed a lot so my driver got worried about my experience haha. Three hours is more than enough to enjoy each place well :) My driver also told me a lot about Gangneung and each place we went to! Wonderful experience! Private tour is a must in Gangneung to tour efficiently. The tourist office and the driver prpvides suggestions on where you can go. Very accomodating. Had a very fun day.

Upon arriving via KTX, you can immediately feel the warmth of the people in Gangneung. After consulting with the taxi tour information desk, the staff recommended several attractions. During the 3-hour tour, my driver and I communicated using Papago, and the driver also shared insights into Gangneung's scenery and local customs. The scenery here is beautiful, making it a wonderful place to relax and unwind. Highly recommended! 👍

Our driver didn’t speak much English but he tried to point out places using Papago. Later, he realized that I could understand some Korean and communicated with me. We ran ahead of time so he offered to stop at an extra destination for cherry blossoms. He also drove through a very nice cherry blossom street twice so we could enjoy the view. He dropped us at the Anmok Coffee street as arranged I asked for a recommendation and the shop he recommended was indeed good! It was Bossanova Roasters. The staff at the tourist information spoke good English and helped to decide if we had enough time to cover the places we chose. Glad that this taxi tour service is still available in this area!

WORTH MY EVERY CENT! Traveling with a family of 4. We can design the plan to our liking, super convenient. Car was comfortable, just nice for 4 pax *and we are quite big frame! Beaches got a bit boring after awhile 🥹🥹but still fun! I request for pick up at Arte Musuem and drop off at Anmok, Driver Lee Jun kindly agreed 🙏🏻

The tourist center staff member speaks Chinese and helped me arrange my itinerary. The Terasosa main branch I wanted to visit was quite far, so she suggested going to the branch near Gyeongpo Lake instead. The driver spoke English, enthusiastically introduced attractions, and chatted with me, even helping to take photos. Three hours felt a bit short; if you want to enjoy your coffee at a leisurely pace, you can add more time to your chartered car service. The driver was very clear about the timing and charges. Highly recommended!

The total experience is very memorable. The staff at the info desk is very helpful and helps you connect to your driver. Ahjussi was on time. courteous and gives me direction on where I wanted to go. Be ready upfront with the photos of your desired location so when they ask you can show it right away. took most of the time lining up for the BTS BUS STOP and its totally okay. Ahjussi sped up so I can still use my remaining 45 mins. Dropped by Dobaekki and experience Soontofu. its a total recommendable experience and a must try!

Very simple and straightforward itinerary. Started on 7.30 am and finished 10.30am. We really enjoyed all the attractions and the driver was really nice and relax. went there early and not a lot of people there and the beach was really pretty. bonus he can speak English!!

Very patient and got to all places we wanna get to. Very friendly with minimal casual conversation.
