What To Expect

Leave the noise of the city centre behind and explore urban life off the beaten track. Your trip begins at the Central Railway Station where you catch a circular train - a unique way to see Yangon's metropolitan area. The train connects several towns and suburban areas for 45.9km and covers 39 stations. You will go on a three hour loop of the city that will introduce you to the best of Yangon. Enjoy a pitstop at Da Nyin Gone Station where you will get to visit a busy local market, see what commodities are popular and sample local foods. After the market, head over to Pazundaung station, have lunch at one of the local restaurants and stroll down busy streets. Complete with a visit to St. Mary's Cathedral, the tour is an impressive summary of Yangon's colonial and spiritual heritage.

Tour guide said he didn't have our names for this tour but let us join anyway as the tour description was correct. We booked via Klook on 26 Dec and the tour was on 31 Dec. The train was a good glimpse into the suburban life. Train was rather slow so be prepare to hang in there for 3 hours. The lunch and church was in the Yangon city unfortunately not within the train journey.

Long hour spent on train, not much view to see. Leaving the market from the train station was a horror - we had to fight our way and being pushed so badly by the locals (sellers from the market who tried to load their stocks on to the train).

Thank you for raising your concern to us. We sincerely regret to hear that you had unsatisfactory experience and we take your feedback extremely seriously. Your case has been noted and passed to the local operator for further improvement. Your understanding will be much appreciated. Hope to serve you better in the future.

The experience of having a local guide with you on the train was amazing! Our guide brought us to a local vegetable market, something which we would not have expeeienced ourselves. Portions of the circular train were closed too as they are replacing the tracks, and should we have gone by ouraelves, we would have been confused. Overall the experience and our guide were great!

The experience was very authentic and the trip to the market was an eye opener. Guide was very clear in his explanation.

I didn't manage to attend(meeting point is 830am) due to the huge rain, however it is not possible to change.

This tour allows you to experience how the locals travel on the circular train. It is interesting to observe their daily interactions on the train, e.g, vendors hawking fruits for sale during the journey. However, the train ride takes about 3 hrs and could get boring in the second half.

The lunch was great, guide was good, and the train experience was ok too.

It was really an eye opener to see the local sights and sounds of Yangon on the train. Our guide was excellent and super knowledgeable, answering all our questions. The local market was also very interesting. Highly recommended to get a taste of local life. Would also recommend trying some of the snacks being sold by vendors on the train.
