Mr. Lee was very informative and considerate. He was able to answer our questions. It would have been nicer if we were able to watch the exchanging of guards but it was a rainy day so we werent able to. Also, i suggest that the main palace should be part of the tour.

What To Expect

Peek into the soul of Seoul on this interactive tour that takes you to the city’s best museums and cultural destinations. Start off at the Gwanghwamun Gate — the largest gate leading to one of the famous royal palaces in Seoul, the Gyeonghuigung Palace. Before you get to explore the royal décor, stop by the Seoul Museum of History and the Seoul City Panoramic Theatre. Next, head to the Daehamun to witness the Royal Guard Rotation Ceremony. Visit the Seoul City Hall before taking a relaxing walk at Cheonggyecheon Plaza boasting splendid views and historic stone bridges. The tour ends with a stroll over to Bosingal Bell Pavillion, where, if you're lucky, you’ll get to hear the mighty relic from the early Joseon period toll.

Honest Review: Pros: i really enjoyed the conversations we had with the guide, i thought she was wonderful and also attentive to my mom who easily gets tired from walking. She also adjusted to bring us to the Jogyesa temple. Cons: I feel like overall, this was NOT a value-for-money experience. The places we visited all had no entrance fees, we walked everywhere, it is essentially done at no cost. We were only paying for the guide and at a per person rate, it was overpriced. This is the same as a River Cruise + N Seoul Tower price. She only seems to have a fair grasp of history, but as for the "soul of seoul", not so much. She also did not check why the Bosingak Bell, the activity we were looking forward to do, was not open on our tour day. Also, the activities and sights listed in the itinerary promised too much. My tip: do this tour by yourself, on your own, and check the info on google, and save money. I do not recommend.

The most memorable part of the tour was at Bosingak, i.e. wearing the traditional hanbok and ringing the bell. Shane really knows his knowledge about Seoul. I loved the tour from start to finish. Do remember that this is a good overview. One should not expect to go into great details. One can always go back and go in depth.
