What to expect
Our tour takes you beyond Prague's crowded center, starting with a renowned spot for organic beef burgers. We then visit five unique beer gardens, including one at the Academy of Fine Arts, Europe's top art faculty. As we explore side streets, your guide shares stories of Nazi rule, communism, and heroic sacrifices for freedom. The second beer garden offers stunning views and is where the 1989 Velvet Revolution began. Next, we visit a community beer garden by the tennis courts where Martina Navrátilová trained before seeking asylum in 1975. The tour continues to the former site of a giant Stalin statue, now home to a metronome symbolizing change, a famous skatepark, and the former Pirate radio station, Radio Stalin, which became Czech Radio 1 in 1991.
