What To Expect

Arguably the most picturesque hike on Hong Kong Island, the Dragon's Back is a classic trail that takes in many of Hong Kong's lesser known surroundings. From mountain ridges and secluded forrest trails, to the white sands of Tai Long Bay, it's no surprise the Dragon's Back trail was named by Time Magazine as Asia's best urban hike. First navigate the dragon-like peak from which the mountain got its name and then descend down to the beautiful white sands of Tai Long Bay where you can have a swim or even sport some surfing. Finish the day's hike by enjoying a nourishing meal and refreshing beverage - the perfect way to cap off an awesome day!

The process was good, even through we took a longer time but the guide was friendly and helpful. He has also shared with us a lot of different experiences.

The hike was suitable for beginners. The view on the peak was worth the climb.

Met a very friendly guy Tristan and i get along with 2 other hikers very well. Throughout the trip it was very enjoyable as the weather was fantastic. Sceneries were so nice and tranquil! I went on a weekday and it was great. i suggest to go on such days to avoid over crowding.

This is a must try for those who crave a little bit of nature next to the hustle and bustle of Hong Kong city! If you have kids who are active, they are definitely capable of finishing the trail.

This is easy mode hiking where you will spend around 3-4 hours to climb the 8Km trail. the first 20 mins is big climbing steps but it will worth the view. you will end the journey at Tai Long Wan Beach. it is quite plain beach and it has great waves. I recommend you to go there on weekdays as there will be less people. you can whatsapp the local guide to remind them and they are friendly. Nice one guys Disclaimer: if you want harder trail route, you can choose the Lions rock but it has the city view scenery. Again the choice is yours :)

The tour guide is a Caucasian who can speaks Cantonese fluently!(guilty) Hike to and from took me almost 2 hours and 30 mins and definitely worth the calories burnt and the stunning bird eye view. A different experience in Hong kong as shopping is too overrated.

Guide Tristan is friendly and informative! I enjoyed the whole hike which ended at the beach. Enjoyed the whole group as well. Although I booked the group of 3, we were a total of 5 in the tour (which I could've saved a bit) but i appreciate being around more people. Highly recommended tour for a non-hiker like me. Enjoyed the view from the top!⭐️

Our guide was very patient and helpful. He gave us many information. Our group was also made up of nice people. Friendly and chatty. I have had fun throughout the trekking. Only one thing upset me though. I paid for 1-3 pax group but ended up with 5 pax in a group, excluding the guide. So I wrote to klook asking for the refund of the additional amount that I’ve paid but klook’s reply was negative. I suggest that perhaps interested person should book for bigger group and pay a lower cost instead of booking for smaller group and then ended up unable to get a refund. I was lucky that my group of 5 pax are very fun people and my guide Tristen is cool!
