    Our tour guide Richard was very friendly and knowledgeable. The trek was challenging (choose the boardwalk trek if you’re a fatty) but rewarding, you get to see proboscis monkeys at the end. Request to see sea stacks at the end of the trip, well worth the extra RM10 per pax.

Itinerary:

  • 8:30am hotel pick up in Kuching
  • 9:30am arrive at Bako Terminal
  • 10:00am arrive at Bako National Park HQ
  • 10:30am trek the park trails and try to spot wild creatures such as the rare proboscis monkeys, long-tailed macaques, Borneo bearded pigs, and monitor lizards
  • 12:30pm return to the park's HQ for a lunch break
  • 1:30pm briefly explore the park some more before returning to the jetty
  • 2:00pm travel back to the jetty by boat
  • 3:00pm hotel drop off in Kuching

    National Park was well maintained with many interesting trails. We had a very informative guide Mars who spoke great English and was very helpful. Boat trip on a small wooden boat was needed to go to park HQ and boatman was also very safe and experienced. First took a trip to see the sea stacks before heading to the park hq to start our walk. Managed to spot proboscis, macaques, and silver leaf monkeys as well as pit vipers and wild boars. A most enjoyable trip

    Participating in this day trip ensures safe arrival and visit to the National Park, which is ideal for local guides due to the many trails in the park. The National Park is very beautiful and definitely worth visiting. Although it was visited during the monsoon season in November, it has not been raining. However, it is necessary to pay attention to the activities that require some physical strength.
