What To Expect

Get a chance to visit Genting Highlands, Batu Caves, and an optional stop at Chin Swee Caves Temple all in one day! Explore more of Malaysia's mountainside and add this day tour to your Kuala Lumpur itinerary. Treat your family to a quick getaway with this tour and bond over the beauty of each attraction. Start the tour with a 45-minute drive to Genting Highlands from your hotel, via this tour's transfer service. Your English speaking driver will act as your guide throughout the tour, sharing the history of Malaysia while he/she navigates the road. On your way to the highlands, your driver will first drop by Batu Caves. One of Malaysia's most visited attractions, Batu Caves is a limestone hill consisting of three major caves and various smaller ones. This 100-year-old cave network's limestone formations house Hindu shrines, making it an important religious landmark for Hindus. Other caves also house Hindu statues and paintings, like the Art Gallery Cave and Museum Cave. After your religious trip to Batu Caves, your ride will continue on to Genting Skyway. Experience riding Southeast Asia's fastest and longest cable car, a great way to spook and amaze the kids. This ride allows you to stop at any station, including Chin Swee Station. Hop off and tour the iconic nine-storey Chin Swee Caves Temple for a chance to see the 'blessing lamps'. Devotees believe that these lamps are blessed, especially when dedicated. After viewing the lamps, help the kids climb up the Sky Terrace for a great view of the 15-meter high Buddha statue. Extend the fun with a ride back to Genting Highlands, where all the entertainment is. Inside you'll find several theme parks and attractions, such as Ripley's Adventureland. Restaurants are readily available too, and the staff are incredibly patient with hungry kids. Book now through Klook and don't miss out on these attractions!

This was really nice tour with Nadia as tour guide who was knowledgeable and did explain everything in detail. Probably 1 hour at Batu Caves too short. The visit first to Genting Highlands was a good decision she made. Overall fantastic Experience.

Awesome tour package with fluent English speaking guide! The tour guide gave a short background to all the visited attractions.

The your guide was exceptional, and batu caves are amazing, my only issue was there wasn’t enough time to enter the dark caves. Genting highlands was also quite good. Tour guide timed it well to ensure we weren’t caught up in crowds/traffic/monsoons.

Great experience! That ride going up Genting highlands and that climb in the Batu Caves were very exciting. You just have to watch out for those monkeys, they always have that look on your stuff.

The driver is on time. I loved the the place and the trip was very convenient.

No. Save your money. Don’t do this. EXTREMELY overpriced and INCREDIBLY boring in MY opinion. Once everyone was picked up, the driver hyped up this coffee place that was ‘complimentary’ to the tour. Thinking we will be taken to a traditional coffee house or something I was actually excited to try out something ‘traditional’. Nope. Absolute tourist trap. It’s just a place that sells packaged coffee. I’m sure they pay the driver/tour company commission to bring customers there. I do understand that people need to make a living so that can be forgiven and they don’t force you to buy anything just a bit of a waste of time. Batu Caves was a mixed experience for me, I would advise you to stay clear of the guy selling jackfruit and tamarind. Or hand him the EXACT change or he’ll pretend you gave him a smaller note and no matter what there’s no winning, you ain’t getting change back. Who wants to argue in front of a religious place? The caves itself was good. Really wanted to take a tour of the caves but we were only allowed 1 hour. It’s better to go by yourself, catch a Grab and then take your time. We arrived to Genting Highlands at 12 and were advised we had 5 hours to explore. Again, I was excited. 5 hours here?! There must be a lot to do right? I managed to waste 2 hours eating and exploring the temple there. Food available is mediocre, it’s food aimed at tourists mostly. Temple I actually thoroughly enjoyed. It’s very zen! What did I do the other 3 hours? Sat and waited for the driver to come back. Had a nice nap! As established, the amusement park is closed down. Not that I wanted to go there anyways. There’s just shopping. To me that’s not exciting, as these are all brands that I can easily be purchase online and in store back at home. I guess if you love shopping it’s good? But I didn’t come to Malaysia to go shopping or go to an amusement park. Also unless you’re rich, the prices of names brands are jacked up, so be weary. I really wanted a perfume and seeing everyone shopping like crazy there I thought it must be cheap! It wasn’t and turned out to be $40usd more expensive than back at home. I guess if you don’t have easy access to these brands or if they don’t ship to your country then it’s worth it? Overall, well worth it if you love the gimmicks of shopping and amusement parks built for tourists. Not worth it if you want to see the traditional side of Malaysia - Batu caves and the temple was good but don’t get this tour for it. I would advise that you find your own way to these places as you can take the time you need or take away the time you don’t need because what I essentially paid for is a taxi service and not a tour. I actually would rather pay for a taxi to save my time and do what I wanted.
