Tunku Abdul Rahman Island Visit & Boat Snorkeling Experience

Great experience for me and the fam. It’s our first time to snorkel and they made it very easy for us to learn. We enjoyed it a lot.

Went to 2 islands islands for snorkeling & the 3rd island for resting & free time activity. the staffs were very friendly & helpful. The lunch was also great. it was a fun & enjoyable experience & worth to try for the first timer.

Visited during March 2020 before the Covid RMO. Great experience with Nathan, friendly, knowledgable, and made us feel safe(and 2 other crew whose names elude me now, i’m sorry) Great boat, 2 decks so you can chill on the upper level, feel the breeze, take a amazing unobstructed 360• view AND you get to jump off the boat from the upper deck. Lots of fun! Snorkelling was good, as there were no tourists during this period. Our boat had roughly 11 tourists(7 of us and 4 others) Lunch was below average, not sure if it was due to the pre-covid19 period. Will recommend for sure 👍🏼

Overall, had a great day snorkeling at 3 different spots. Managed to see some nemo fishes!! Expect that there will be some wait time in the morning before getting onto the boats. But every other time when the boat picks us up after the snorkeling/diving sessions, it’s a very easy process to follow. We had Chong as our snorkeling guide who was very helpful to point out where certain fishes are so we were able to catch a glimpse of the sea creatures and enjoy our time more. The lunch provided was simple but pretty good — had the mushroom and chicken rice. I can’t remember the other driving guide and boat driver’s name but they were great too. Thank you to this team:)

I met 2 new friends when I joined this tour yesterday! It was a fun snorkeling tour. The mini van was late for 20 minutes but that’s okay. The equipments were all good. Can’t wait for another adventure!

Love the experience! Transport is on time, life vest and snorkelling equipments are in good condition, tour guides are friendly and pay much attention to us. Light snack and mineral water provided. What’s special is we are on a double decker boat where we can go up and enjoy the view and wind while the boat sails.

Its a good experience, especially the part of Snorkling. We did a total of 2 hours for Snorkling session and also had a chance to swim at the shore. The water was clear and there were alot of marine life to be seen under the water. Our guide Nat was also friendly and provide us with fun facts about Sabah along the way. Would recommend this to adventure and beach lovers. Make sure to jump into the water from the cruise deck.

Our family of four, including two elementary school-aged daughters, participated in this tour. If you're coming to Kota Kinabalu, we highly recommend joining this tour for three reasons. First, the guides are kind and friendly. Not only was the hotel transfer driver excellent, but the snorkeling guide was also perfect. On the way back, a staff member even escorted us to our driver's car, which was reassuring. Second, it's safe for snorkeling beginners because the guides stay with you the entire time. This time, we swam so close to a sea turtle that we could almost touch it. We also encountered large schools of beautiful fish, making for a truly valuable experience. Third, you receive photos and videos from your time in the ocean. Although we didn't bring an underwater camera, we received many photos and videos directly to our smartphones on the spot. Being able to capture our family snorkeling and the beautiful marine life in photos and videos became a great treasure from our trip. It was a very worthwhile tour. We are grateful.

Easily the best snorkeling trip I have ever had! The boat captain who is also a diver, guided us in the water to show us interesting species around. We were very lucky to have a great weather and good underwater visibility that day. With the help of the captain, we managed to spot turtle, shark, clownfish colony, stingray and porcupine fish. The island hopping and snorkeling package does not include other water activities. The guide helped us to book a parasailing boat and it was very fun! Highly recommended and would love to book again the next time I go back to KK :)
