Good to know
- Shuttle buses (extra charge, payable locally) are required to the observation deck at Shirakawa-go. Please note that you may not be able to go to the observatory due to traffic congestion or shuttle bus operation on the day of the tour.
- The sidewalk from Taisho Pond to Kappa Bridge may be closed to traffic. Please note that you cannot get off the bus at Taishoike in such cases. Please note that on some weekends in summer and fall, you will have to transfer to a shuttle bus for a part of the trip due to Kamikochi sightseeing bus regulation days. In such cases, the time spent in Kamikochi includes 1 hour for a round trip by shuttle bus. (In the case of a 3-hour stay, 1 hour is for the round trip by shuttle bus and 2 hours for walking in Kamikochi.)
- Please check out by 11:00 on the second day. Luggage other than valuables will be left at the hotel front desk.
